MY REVIEW

P M Terrell has amazed me with her mastery of storytelling, giving me many hours of reading pleasure. A Thin Slice of Heave made me think of The Ghost and Mrs Muir, and a two book series of Taylor Dean’s, Lancaster House, just by reading the book blurb. ‘I am rubbing my hands together with a gleam in my eye and a smile ear to ear.’

A castle, a blizzard, an abandoned woman, and a suave, debonair ghost by the name of Sean Bracken. Charleigh is staying in the turret room. How exciting. I can see it now, a fabulous view and a window seat where I can curl up under a cozy blanket with a favorite book. But, that is not what happens in this turret room.

By Chapter two I am so emotionally involved I am unable to stop reading. I think I’m in love.

I empathize with Charleigh, her loss, her misery, her despair at getting older, hating most everything about herself. I can feel her unhappiness with the  changes age has brought to her.

As I read along, I savor every word. The characters are drawing me in, entrancing me, hypnotizing me.

“A fairytale snow glove” The descriptive writing captivates and enthralls me. I am lost…in A Thin Slice of Heaven and lovin’ every minute of it. My emotions are all over the place.

I won’t be sharing much about the book itself, because I enjoyed learning all the bits and pieces myself and I want you to be able to have the same wonderful experience that I did as the story unfolds.

WOW! P M Terrel has done it again. She BLEW ME AWAY with this love story that will last through all of eternity.

GOODREADS BLURB

She had arranged to meet her husband in Northern Ireland for a second honeymoon, but when Charleigh arrives at the remote castle, she receives a message that he won’t be coming—and that he’s leaving her for another woman. Stranded for the weekend by a snow storm that has blocked all access to the castle, she finds herself three thousand miles from home in a country she knows nothing about.

She is soon joined by Sean Bracken, the great-grandson of Laird Bracken, the original owner of the castle, and she finds herself falling quickly and madly in love with him. There’s just one problem: he’s dead.

As the castle begins to come alive with secrets from centuries past, she finds herself trapped between parallel worlds. Caught up in a mass haunting, she can no longer recognize the line between the living and the dead. Now she’s discovering that her appearance there wasn’t by accident—and is more earth-shattering than she ever suspected.
