I have been reading the Count To Ten series by Jane Blythe and I eagerly look for the next book, then the next book, then the next book…
Six releases in two weeks
Sooo…let’s find out what Jane Blythe has in store for us in Six.
MY REVIEW
The urgency and action from the opening words, kept me hanging on each and every one! I love when an author engages me quickly with riveting action and Jane Blythe does that so well.
Six by Jane Blythe picks up where Five left off, but there is a recap, so this can stand alone. I have loved each and every book in this series, so if you are just beginning, I recommend starting with One.
Five ended in a fabulous cliffhanger that left me hanging by my fingernails and desperate to get my hands on Six. Paige is a good cop, confident in her ability to take care of herself. But…she is wrong. Why was she on her own? She knows there is a stalker after her and he gets more dangerous by the minute.
I love that so much is going on in the Count to Ten series. I am pushed and pulled to this character, then that character, wishing, hoping, sometimes knowing where the story is heading and happy to be going there.
Annabelle, her insecurities make it impossible for her to trust, to believe that she is deserving of Detective Xavier Montague’s love. I think Annabelle gets so frightened that the fight or flight instinct kick in and she tends to run. And I would like to slap him upside the head for letting her walk out the door. I can see why he says enough is enough, he is not going after her again, but if you love someone, don’t you chase after them? Will he?
I believe sweet Hayley will tug at your heartstrings, just like she did mine.
The women…and their loved ones…horror upon horror heaped on them by lunatics. Jane has no problem killing off her characters, because when one is crushed, there is always another sicko to pop up and haunt them.
Will my friends ever have a happy ever after?
The Count to Ten series is jam packed full of memorable characters that make repeat performances in subsequent stories. I feel so invested in their lives and they feel as if they could be friends of mine. Both the characters and the storylines keep me reading. The pacing of the suspense keeps mounting making me eager to know what happens next, yet not wanting to get to the end. The writing is intense. I find myself tense, muscles tight, leaning forward as if that will allow me to read faster.
Six is a book that keeps on giving…love and hate…suspense and mystery…
I love deep, dark suspense and Six by Jane Blythe delivers in spades.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of Six by Jane Blythe.

GOODREADS BLURB
Can Detective Paige Hood survive her stalker’s attempt to kill her?
Sometimes you have to do something even if it hurts someone you love. Annabelle Englewood just made the biggest decision of her life. She’s moved out of the home she has shared with her boyfriend for the last five years. She’s not sure she made the right choice but she felt like it was something she had to do. Her decision might wind up costing her more than just the man she loves, it might also take her freedom and her life.
A woman disappears without a trace. Another four women vanish on the same night. The case takes a personal turn for Detective Xavier Montague when his estranged girlfriend, Annabelle, also goes missing. Is her disappearance related? Is someone else responsible? Or did she simply walk away from her life of her own volition?
