Books from the Backlog is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your bookshelf unread. If you are anything like me, you might be surprised by some of the unread books hiding in your stacks.
If you would like to join in, swing by Carole’s Random Life in Books.
The books I have been sharing for the Backlog post are from the documents on my Kindle. I am trying to read through them so I can delete them. Some have been hanging around for a very long time, others not so much.
This week, I’m sharing Lynda Filler’s Code Raven: Prequel, a thriller novella. Love that cover…and whenever I see a crow it gets my mind working…something evil this way comes.
I don’t know when I downloaded it or where I got it from, but the Code Raven: Prequel was released 7.16.18.
MY ONE SENTENCE REVIEW
The Code Raven: Prequel is a wild and amazing introduction to a thrilling series and I found the characters to be unique, fascinating, and highly skilled.

I know I have many books waiting for me on my Kindle, but I don’t use it often…if ever. One day, I’ll try to knock some of those off my TBR list.
i read a lot more books on my kindle than physical ones nowadays. i still have my very first kindle that mr wonderful bought me when they first came out.
What a cover! Love it!
i think it’s fabulous too. as i scrolled through my kindle, i saw this and had to share it
Thanks, it’s symbolic of the key character ‘Luke Raven’ and a true life event that happened when a key Raven Group ex-Seal died. I was surrounded for days but Ravens!! That’s when I started the series. Several characters are based on friend in high places 😉😎
Thanks so much for the fun review. I LOVE writing this series. Book seven is situated in Istanbul where I live at the moment. Every time a write a new one, I say “this is my favorite!”
whoa, istanbul. i can only imagine how interesting your life is right now.
Yes,! It’s amazing! I’m taking a 1 year visa!! It was supposed to be a layover for two nights but I came back after traveling for 3 months and here I am.
I have way too many unread books on my kindle too Sherry! I like the storm and crow on the cover. It seems to be foreshadowing something ominous and sinister coming! I’m glad this prequel was promising of a great new series and characters to be read!
i’ll definitely have my eye on Lynda. lol
I love that cover too, Sherry! And this sounds like my kind of reading:)
hope you get a chance to read it.
There is something about a raven on a book’s cover. Glad you enjoyed this one, Sherry!
i think so too. it gives me a feeling of something very interesting coming.
Thanks for the love for my cover. Yes, it’s moody and reflective of real life events that are often stranger than fiction, enjoy the series. It’s addictive to write. Thanks for finding me😎
it’s my pleasure and i hope others find a chance to enjoy your work too.
