A messy bookshelf is the norm around the Fundin household. I just cannot help but pick up another book and another and another…
I enjoy reading Lisa Scottoline and I can see why she is a New York Times Bestselling Author.
Have you read any of her work?
My 56
“Mrs Bott, I have a feeling that someone close to Shay, maybe her boyfriend, sold drugs. Do you know anything about that?”
(Page 56 in hardcover,1st edition, published in 2005)
Book Beginnings
Vicki Allegretti always wondered what it would feel like to look into the barrel of a loaded gun, and now she knew. The gun was a black Glock, nine millimeter, and it was aimed at her right eye. Vicki observed the scene out-of- body, as if it were happening to a girl with a better sense of humor. Wonder if black guns make you look thinner, she thought.
GOODREADS BLURB: Prosecutor Vicki Allegretti goes to meet a confidential informant, is almost killed, and a cop is gunned down before her eyes. She saw the killers, now all she has to do is find them. The deeper Vicki probes, the more she becomes convinced that the murder wasn’t random. When another murder takes place, Vicki is thrown together with an unlikely ally — The Girlfriend from Hell. Will they find the killers before they kill each other?

Right now all of my bookshelves are messy. I chose to think it gives them character! I’ve not read this book but I have read half of a book of her essays (the ones she wrote for a paper or something) and they are hilarious. I think it’s called My Next Husband Will Be A Dog or something like that.
I’ve read quite a few books by this author and enjoyed them all. Her gripping plots and zany sense of humor have made me a fan! I’m adding Devil’s Corner to my TBR list.
My Friday post features An Innocent Client.
I love everything Lisa writes…I can’t believe I missed this one! Now I must go back and add it. Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
Sounds like an edge-of-the-seat read to me. I have heard great things about this author but have yet to read anything… maybe I should start! 🙂
Happy weekend!
What a question!
I don’t think any of us an resist getting books. Thank god for ereaders, I can pass for normal lol
I don’t think I’ve read this one before and I’ve read a bunch of her books. My shelves are such a mess and I just tried organizing them a week ago. LOL
MY Friday 56 from The Ashes

This book sounds interesting. Thanks for mentioning it. 🙂
I am seeing this author for the first time and I am liking the book! So thanks for sharing!
My Friday 56 features Bloodlines by Richelle Mead
Not heard of this author but sounds like someone I should look up. 🙂
I haven’t read anything by her before but this sounds amazing! Definitely adding it to my TBR!
Finds like a fun mystery! Hope you enjoy your weekend.
Heh a messy shelf is a well loved shelf, right? Mine are fairly messy too. 😀
Sadly, no I haven’t read her.
