Big Girl Panties is my first novel by Stephanie Evanovich and I had many chuckles while reading it. I gave it a 3 star rating on Goodreads and would recommend it, especially if you need a change of pace and some light reading.
MY 56
(Pages 56 in paperback published in 2013)
GOODREADS BLURB
They say that big girls don’t cry. But when the chips are down and the dip is gone, what can you do? Pull up your BIG GIRL PANTIES and change your life.
Holly Brennan didn’t expect to be a widow at thirty-two. She also didn’t expect to be so big. Through her husband Bruce’s diagnosis and death, food was the one thing she could always count on. Now, those extra pounds make flying coach more than a little mortifying-especially since she’s sitting next to Adonis himself, aka Logan Montgomery, a personal trainer to the country’s most famous pro athletes.
Though Holly doesn’t make the grade on his first-impression meter, Logan finds himself intrigued by her sharp wit and keen insight-a welcome change from the beautiful bubble-headed dolls he usually dates-and impulsively offers to get her back in shape. Ready to make at least one positive change in her life, Holly agrees.
To Logan’s (and her own) surprise, Holly turns out to be a natural in the gym. Throwing herself into exercise, the red head with the blazing wit and welcoming smile slims down into a bonafide looker with killer curves-and a new kind of hunger. Soon, the easy intimacy and playful banter of their training sessions lead Logan and Holly into the bedroom where they share their most intense and steamy workouts yet.
But can a man whose whole life depends on looks commit himself to a woman who doesn’t fit his image? Now that Holly’s turning other men’s heads, does she even need Logan anymore? Are they a couple built to last . . . or is this sizzling affair going to burn out fast?
Which cover do you like best?
Sounds fun, Sherry. Such a cute cover too. I don’t see the excerpt?
Oops….I’m too lazy to go back and fix it.
I’ve not read any of her work yet LOL but I must say this looks like a fun read, Sherry! 🙂
This was my first book of hers and I really enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this book…it did make me laugh. I haven’t read any of her other books, but I plan to do so.
Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
I feel laughter can heal a lot of wounds and had my share here. Glad you enjoyed it too.
I totally don’t see your 56… I missed something. 🙁 I’m off to check it out on GR though ’cause it does sound good. Happy weekend!
Oops…Glad it sounded good enough for you to check it out and share on Goodreads. Thanks
I enjoyed this one. Lots of chuckles. This week I am spotlighting The Human Division by John Scalzi. Happy reading!
Hard to wrong with an Evanovich. 🙂
I read a bunch of Evanovish’s Stephanie Plum books but found them to be redundant after a point. I wonder what I would think of this book. She certainly is a light-hearted writer. Friday Quotes: Long Way Down
Hmmm…this is the only one I’ve read. Could it be different?
I’ve never read Stephanie Evanovich although I know many who love her books! Thanks for sharing
I haven’t read this one, but I’ve enjoyed some of her other novels.
I think I like the first cover better. 🙂
I’ve not read anything by Stephanie Evanovich yet. This book does sound good, though. Thanks for sharing! Have a great weekend! 🙂
This does sound like a fun book! I am glad that you enjoyed it so much. I will have to check it out. I am in the mood for something funny right now! 🙂
This does sound fun! I haven’t read anything by this author, but I have heard good things about her work. Funny is always good! 🙂
Evanovich is my favourite author for light amusement. I love ploughing through a Stephanie Plum and laughing till my eyes water. Glad you enjoyed this one, but I did miss the excerpts… x

Hi Sherry,
I don’t know much about this author and although I have been known to read the odd cozy mystery which has a bit of humour in the story line, ‘Big Girl Panties’ is just a bit off the mark of my preferred reading genres.
I’m not too sure about the yellow cover version, however it does match the style of cover Stephanie has used in one of her previous books, which is bright blue in colour. I quite like the idea of lookalike cover art!
Thanks for sharing 🙂
