Dead Plains (The Zombie West Trilogy, Book III) by Angela Scott
#1
“Killing a horde of Zombies and then bringing us a gift seems pretty unselfish to me.”
#2
Her clothes were tattered, her feet bare, and her snow-white hair tangled around her gaunt face in knots and snarls. A machete dangled from her fingers and her bandana hung loose around her neck.

Dead Plains (The Zombie West Trilogy, Book III) by Angela Scott
People aren’t always what they seem, as Red has experienced all too well. Strangers are feared, towns are avoided, and everyone’s intentions are scrutinized… even those of the people closest to her. Her coveted ability has been revealed to far too many people, and now that a tiny heartbeat thumps and grows beneath her own, the risk has never been greater. As the group of ten searches for a safe haven, a place to finally call home, the sobering reality of it all finally settles over them: nowhere is safe, nothing is permanent, and death is everywhere. One by one, Red’s reluctant posse grows smaller, as death claims some, and circumstance claims others. It couldn’t be a worse time to bring a newborn into the world… but the baby is coming

LOL Sounds like action-packed awesomeness!
Happy weekend!
It is and I am loving every minute, every second, of it. You have a great weekend too.
This is from the novel I’m currently reading, The Rosie Project. (at 56%)
“I found myself becoming bored. I take little notice of my surroundings beyond the need to avoid accidents, and in any case the freeway was largely devoid of interest.”
As for Dead Plains, bringing a baby into Zombie land sure makes for a nail-biting and interesting plot!
I think there are a lot of people who feel bored while driving, that’s why you see them texting all the time. lol
I’m curious what the baby will be – human, zombie, something in between?
I want to start reading this so bad. But I have to wait until I’m finished with book 2! This series is just so awesome.
I was surprised how much I like the series. It is well written with a unique approach to zombies. Raises some serious questions – do zombies ever die?
Gotta love those zombie westerns. 😀
LOL. There are definitely parts where I am laughing. As I picture the scenes, I don’t really see them as gross and gruesome, more like a B movie playing out in words. I don’t have much interest in watching zombies on TV, but when reading about them, I see them differently. Maybe it’s easier to forget they are zombies. ^_^
Zombi-licious! FUN Friday 56.
