I picked up The Savant of Chelsea by Suzanne Jenkins on an Amazon free day on 10.5.2018 and boy oh boy and I ever glad I did.
There are two covers. The first is the one I like the best. Which hits all your buttons?
MY REVIEW
OMG…Talk about a book surprise…BLEW…MY…MIND…and I love it!!!!!!
There are a lot of triggers, so read with care.
Alexandra…an amazing character. The writing is off the charts, pulling out all the feels and smacking me in the face. With the excellent writing and the surprisingly creative storyline and characters, I challenge you to tell me you didn’t shed a tear or two, I won’t believe you. This severely damaged child/woman, who, when faced with a situation she never could have ever imagined calls for her to face her fears and change her life…One minute I wanted to reach through my Kindle and slug someone, the next puke my guts out, the next wrap them in my arms. The ending…AMAZING and I NEED to know what happens next.
When I read the blurb, it made me think that The Savant of Chelsea by Suzanne Jenkins would stand alone and I could decide what I wanted the rest of her life to be…but I see there are two more books…AND I WANT THEM!
GOODREADS BLURB
In the French Quarter of New Orleans, the birth of a baby to a mentally ill woman marks the beginning of The Savant of Chelsea’s life. An abusive childhood segues to the operating rooms of the largest medical center in New York. The brilliant but mentally ill brain surgeon waits for just the right time to redeem her past. In the end, she takes matters into her own hands. It’s up to the reader to decide what happens after the climax.

I like both covers, but I like the top one best. It’s more artsy. High praise for Jenkins’ story. You’ve piqued my interest!
I like the first cover better myself. This sounds like a very heavy book, I’m terrible with heavy books.
