I won Solid by Shelley Workings and added it to my TBR on 10. Everything about the book appeals to me. It is a YA novel, which I do read a lot of when they are also the paranormal and supernatural type. Apocalypti/dystopian/science fiction/fantasy makes me want to know about these kids and their powers. I love a simple cover that says a lot and this one stands out. I wonder how much it pertains to the story and I shall find out. How about you? Do you every get a bit peeved when the cover in no one matches the story inside?

I like when I can see a relation between the cover and the story. I read one where the MC was a kickass brunette vampire but the cover girl was a vacant looking redhead! That is really annoying…
i know. i don’t understand how an author and/or publisher could let that happen
What irks me is when the character portrayed on the cover doesn’t match the description in the book.
so true
I want to know more about these kids superpowers too. This sounds fun.
Yes, I did get annoyed when the cover doesn’t match the book, especially, as Laura said, when the character on the cover doesn’t match the character’s description in the book.
glad you think it sounds like fun too
Nothing like a genetically engineered kid army. Alright!
i know. sounds like a good one to me too
This sounds like fun! A book with special abilities sounds like it would be very interesting. I do like the cover but get annoyed when they don’t match the story.
i do find kids learning about their superpowers a good read
