Hi Everyone. We have had a cold spell coming through, but the sun is shining today (Friday). It always lifts my spirits when I see blue skies. Mr Wonderful and I cut our hair yesterday. It’s always an adventure when I cut his hair. Mine, I don’t worry about so much. Just cut it straight across and I’m good. Feels better now and I hope it’s easier to wash. My bum arm is getting better, but taking so darn looooooong. We still have some of our Christmas stuff up because I’m not going in the attic until it gets a bit warmer, so why take it all down. Mostly it’s just lights. I am going to take the decorations off the tree this week and make it a Mardi Gras tree. I love lights and plan to keep some up, after taking the rest of the Christmas garland down. Anything to make myself feel better right now is a good thing. I’m still having trouble coming up with a blogging schedule, but I hate having to scramble to post something because I haven’t blogged ahead, so I need to figure it out.
Stay safe and wear a mask..

My dad and I are staying home pretty much all the time. We don’t fancy a dose of that new strain doing the rounds in the UK. Hope you both stay safe!
My sister has a tree she decorates all year round. She keeps lights up too. If it makes you happy, do it. Wow! You cut each other’s hair? I would be too stressed out to do it. My father just wanted me to clean up the back of his hair with his clippers and I was shaking in my boots. Good for you!
Somehow, we have figured out how to cut our own hair. We do it with mirrors. (And scissors)

My husband goes to his sister, who did hair when she was young. I guess he doesn’t trust me. I do my own hair. Just a bit of trim now and then. I don’t dare try cutting the bangs, though.
I like the idea of a year-round tree. It would perhaps keep our spirits up. We can use everything we can get right now. Our neighbors still have their Christmas light show up. I hope they keep it up as long as possible.
I think you have an amazing blogging schedule. I feel good if I manage to post three times a week.
I’ve also kept some of my Christmas Lights up in the patio. Just because they look so pretty.
I will never dare trying to cut my husband’s hair. Nevermind my own! Luckily one of my best friends is a hairdresser and there’s also a gap for me.
Have a good week!
A Mardi Gras tree is such a neat idea!
My daughter started cutting my hair a few years ago. My husband won’t touch it though. We’ve been doing his hair at home for a very long time and my daughter was brave enough to let me do hers recently. I would say that you should keep up whatever decorations you are enjoying. I hope you have a great week, Sherry!
I just took our Christmas decorations down, but I kept out the white twinkle lights to be cheery. Congrats on the hair cuts. I wouldn’t dare try to cut my husbands- I’m bad. LOL
Have a good week, Sherry!
I tried to keep the holiday decorations longer because it was a cheering sight in gloomy times. I cut my companion’s hair but he doesn’t want to cut mine – is he afraid, lol ? So I cut mine, but I don’t know much what it loois like from behind. Noone screamed, so it must be good. Enjoy your week 🙂
I need a haircut real badly. My son helps me with applying color, but I have to wait for my hairdresser to reopen to get a cut. Glad to hear your arm is better.
I hope your arm gets better faster. Sometimes all you can do is give it rest. I hate that waiting. At least our brains are still working, and we have lots of great reading options.
I hope your arm starts feeling better. I used to cut Ken’s hair all the time since it seemed to grow so fast. I cut my own hair but mine is long enough for me to sit on so it’s easy.
I have a tree still up and decorated it for Mardi Gras. Also have some outdoor lights. I need the bright outlook too. Miss you guys!
A Mardi Gras tree sounds amazing. If I lived alone, I’d probably leave my tree up all year and just decorate it for every season. Have a great week!
It’s been over a year since my and my daughter’s last haircuts. I don’t cut straight and am afraid to try with hers. I’m fine with mine not being cut, but I know hers could really use it so we may have to just bite the bullet. At least it is long and no one will probably notice if it isn’t straight. I love the idea of a Mardi Gras tree! I hope you do it. I did my part taking down all the decorations and now it’s my husband’s turn. It’s been over a week and he hasn’t yet taken the bins to the garage. Hopefully today. I love him, but follow through with stuff like that isn’t one of his strengths. Not that I can complain. I put off plenty myself sometimes!
I hope you have a great week and happy reading!
I love the idea of decorating a tree all year round, but when I took down my tree I realized I have much more room in my living room than when it is up. I do love the Mardi Gras theme though! Hope you have a good week!

I like keeping the lights up for a while. And a good haircut always feels good. I bought some clippers and do my own since it was driving me nuts, and I like to keep it short now.
Have a nice week 🙂
