Hello fellow bloggers. Hope you had a great week and a great holiday. This is my first Sunday since mid December and I am not even going to try and update you on what I have been up to. We will just pick it up from here.
It’s hard to get back into the swing of things. I had blogged ahead, so didn’t have to do much for the past three weeks, but drop in and try to comment, tweet…
I will be updating and sharing my reading challenges soon. I completed them all for 2016 and look forward to doing them again this year. What challenges do you do? I’ll stop by and check them out.
One of my main goals for the new year is to get my blogging more organized. I read a lot, but it is hard to get the reviews written. I plan on doing back reviews, but from here on out I am determined to write them as soon as I have finished the book…or as close to that if I can. I do a lot of road trips and read a lot on the road, so those usually get lost somewhere. I write notes on whatever is at head, whether it’s a gas receipt, a napkin…At least I went through and rated most of them for last year, because they deserve some attention!!! I have always tried to post everything on my blog, but this year I think I will be doing some on Amazon, Goodreads, LibraryThing…
Do you have the same problem…can’t fit them all in? What do you do?
Any hoo…I do have a few things to share…

Lovely to have you back, Sherry and I hope you’ve had a great break, a brilliant Christmas and wishing you a happy and successful 2017:). Yes – I think you are right about the reviews. I try really hard to write my reviews within 2 days of finishing the book or the flush of enthusiasm I have starts to fade and it gets a lot harder to write. Hope you manage to make the changes that suit you – after all this is our relaxation and hobby, isn’t it. So it should be fun!
I hear ya, Sherry. I’m going to try to do the same thing. Write the reviews as soon as I can after I finish the books.
Welcome back!

My Sunday Post
Hey welcome back! I’m only doing three challenges this year (I did none in 2016)- looking forward to seeing which ones you’re doing. I’m not very good at the challenges so we’ll see how this goes. 🙂
I do tend to write my reviews as soon as I finish a book, even though sometimes I think it might not hurt to give myself time to collect my thoughts. But I can’t stand not having it done lol. And I hear you, I often write notes on whatever is at hand- then I have to remember later whre that was!
I freak out if I have too many reviews to write. I try to have no more than 2 to do, and then I will stop reading until those are written. LOL Welcome back!
Oh Ghost looks good! Hope you’re having a great year so far 😀 And good luck with the organizing!
Hi there and I had a break as well. I blogged a little but didn’t read much.
Like you I’m also keen to get a bit more organised on the blogging front in 2017!
It is so hard to get back into the swing of things after the holidays! It’s the time of year I give myself permission to just relax and enjoy life and lots of family time. Then I don’t want it to end!
I find reviews very difficult to write, so mine tend to be very short and I let the star rating speak for me. I find your reviews very detailed, so I think you do an excellent job at posting! You do an amazing service to all authors–and I for one, appreciate your efforts very much!
I don’t want it to end either. Thanks so much for your kind words, Taylor.
I have to write the reviews as soon as I finish reading the book. It stays fresher in my mind that way before I start another book. It does get a bit cumbersome at times.
Have a great week!
