.
Good Morning…In the last weeks, Mr Wonderful was on vacation, then Hurricane Sally dropped in for a prolonged visit, so he was off another week. It was a good thing, because we were without power for five days and there was a ton of clean up. Thanks goodness the damage was only outside and an insurance adjuster will be around today to assess the damage. I will be sharing a Hurricane Sally post as soon as I can get my act together. I hope everyone on the Gulf Coast made it out unscathed.
Sometimes I wonder if the end is near…Covid, fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, protests, uncontrolled police force…I fear, here in the US, it is going to get much worse, before it gets better, considering the nasty political climate and the upcoming election.
Oh, to be an ostrich, burying my head in the sand…or wherever I can find a place to hide.
That being said, I hope you had the best week possible and wish you another good week.

Sorry to hear you were without power for so long (that is hard! I remember Sandy) Glad the damage wasn’t too bad as well. Hang in there!
I hope you get some encouraging news from the adjustor. I know what you mean about just wanting to bury your head in the sand. Sometimes it really is too much.
Glad to hear you didn’t have any inside damage. I hope you’re able to get the outside covered and fixed. I wonder the same thing, Sherry. I do think it’s going to get worse with the election coming up. I think we’re birds of a feather, because I’d like to burying my head in the sand, too!
I am glad to hear that there is not a lot of damage, and hopefully things go well with the adjuster. I too am quite worried about what will comes next for us. Definitely not the world I imagined raising my daughter in.
WE can be ostriches together cause I sure do know what you mean.
I’m glad you were ok inside even though you lost power. I am feeling the crazy out there this year more than any other time.
Anne – Books of my Heart Here is my Sunday Post
I feel the same way. I’m so done with this year.
Hope this week settles down well for you. Tough times indeed. Happy reading.
I often wonder if this is the end too. Things just keep getting worse and worse.
Sorry about the hurricane. I’m glad you’re safe! We’re dealing with grass fires and drought here. It was a bit like walking my dog through the smoky apocalypse this morning. Have a great week!
So sorry about the hurricane. I hope everything is okay. It’s definitely a hard time right now. Take care and stay safe.
My post is here.
I often wonder the same. and oh wow- without power for 5 days! Yikes! I hope you guys are all back to normal now…
Stay safe and be well this week!
I’m glad you are all safe though sorry to hear your home sustained damage. I hope the insurance and repair process goes smoothly.
Wishing you a great reading week
I’m glad that you are okay and the damage is only external. What a tough year!
I hope the hurricane damage isn’t too costly. I am glad it was only outside for you. My daughter is learning about natural disasters in school right now and we watched a video about hurricanes. I have never been through one, but I know how damaging they can be. There was a decent sized earthquake here the other night. Luckily it didn’t cause any damage.
I do hope things improve for everyone for the rest of the year, but what are the chances of that? We can’t lose all hope though, can we? Even if we sometimes feel like things are hopeless at this point.
I hope everything settles down for you and you get some respite. Take care and stay safe!
It could certainly be mistaken for the End of Days couldn’t it. It really has been a tough year and I just wish I could be back in the carefree days of 2019 when we’d never heard of Covid instead of this fear of it all the time.
