Happy Sunday! I am still in a reading and blogging funk. Can’t seem to shake it. I have had some health issues and just finished up with cataract surgery last week. Should be good as new next month. Maybe it’s because I am not getting my sun and swim time. No gardening or swimming for a month and I sure do miss it. Any suggestion for shaking this lethargy that has kept me down. I did try to visit more of you this week and will be stopping by your posts to see what I have been missing. Until then…

Did you find anything you like or is there a book you just can’t live without that you would like to recommend to all of us?

I hate slumps! I’ve only come out of a huge two month slump in the last couple of weeks and it wasn’t much fun. I can’t offer a solution though…one day I just picked up a book and started reading again as if nothing was wrong. It was weird. Usually digging out a favourite book works or a total break to chill in front of the tv but not always! Hope you get out of your slump soon.
Thanks Chuckles. I do love my TV. 🙂
I’m thinking once you heal from your surgery and don’t have any restrictions things will turn around for you. Being inactive can affect everything. I bet its going to be great to not have to wear glasses anymore! I can also see you going crazy not being able to get in that pool!
My Sunday Post
I’m hoping that is the problem too. I want to do things and keep telling myself NO. Don’t ya hate that word?
I was in a bit of a slump last week with blogging. Mainly because I just felt like I was always running around doing something, and when I wasn’t I had to sit down and read. I hope you are able to get your reading and blogging mojo back soon.
I guess we all hit the wall once in a while. Thanks for the pep talk.
I just went through a slump and decided to just stop doing everything. I took a hiatus for about 2 weeks and I was surprised by how much better I felt. I slowly added stuff back into my day and now I feel great. Sometimes short reads work or even just finding something else to do instead for a while. I hope you are able to shake it soon. Slumps really are no fun and rather stressful.
Have a great week, Sherry! Happy Reading!
I’ve been doing a few things and I hope I will gradually get back to it full time. I used up all my blog aheads, so if I don’t make a post…well…
I am so sorry about the funk. I would relax and let it happen. I am sure you’ll bounce back in no time.
I think you are right, Kim. Have a great week.
Sometimes a break is just what we need. I hope you come back from your slump feeling all refreshed 🙂
Thanks Stephanie. That is the plane. 🙂
I’ve been through those reading funks. In fact, I was in one recently. It’s definitely hard to get out of. I was just lucky and I got out of it. I hope you do too. Have a great week!
It’s been a while since I’ve had one where I didn’t even want to read. I am sure it will pass and you have a great week too.
I’m guessing that you not feeling 100% is also having something to do with it – and not being able to get out and about. It’s always horrible when it happens – the only advice I can offer is to try not to worry, which I know is easier said than done! Best of luck, Sherry:).
Thanks for the great advice. You are right. It is what it is and it will pass. 🙂
I am not in a dump per say, but I do miss my fun reading. These days it is all textbooks. I am back in school and struggling with algebra. Ohh Vay…I hope you do shake your funk. It’s hard when you can’t do what you love. Maybe try some different cooking? Idk. Have a great week!
Mary my #Sunday Roundup #19!
Math always took up a lot of my time too. Wishing you luck and keep plugging away at it.
Aww sorry to hear about the slumps! Hope they pass soon. and that you can get back to swimming and gardening. 🙂 Hope you recover from the surgery quick too !!
Thanks Greg. I think patience is the key for the moment, though it is in short supply. lol
I bet once you are able to spend more time outside, you’ll spring right back into action. It’s always amazing to me how much the weather can affect how we feel. I sure hope you feel more like yourself soon!
I think I will too. Thanks for commenting.
I hope your health problems get better soon. Reading and blogging slumps happen to me, too. I just have to wait until they go away. Have a good week.
Patience is the key? I have a short supply of that. LOL
Oh man stinks to get in those funks. Maybe an audiobook? Hope you’re feeling better soon!
I am listening to my very first audio book. Thanks for the suggestion. 🙂
