Hello fellow bloggers. It’s been a quiet week, especially since Mr Wonderful went to Birmingham to make a Thanksgiving/Christmas visit. I do love my alone time and miss it since he took early retirement due to a reduction in force. He’ll be helping them with some issues they are having and treat them to some good takeout. Since he’s been gone, I have binge watched Twilight on Thursday and am going back and forth between football and Twilight again today. This time it is on TV, but most of the time it still matches my cheap edited version. I like those few edited out scenes I rarely get to see and feel they are more important than some of the other stuff and should have been left in.
What do you think of all this football stuff? Did Michigan purposely not play today (Saturday) to put it to Ohio State? I can see why some teams and players are saying to hell with it. I’m going home for Christmas.
For me, I have been doing some Christmas decorating while he has been gone. This year we bought our first artificial tree and I love it. The only issue is that it is 6 1/2 feet tall and I wish we would have gotten the 7.5 one. I thought it would be too tall with our 8 foot ceilings, but I was wrong. Now, I know for next time. I strung a ton of lights on it and I am looking forward to adding the ornaments. We have tons of specialty ornaments, so I don’t even use the store bought ones any more. I think I may let Mr Wonderful hang them this year. I usually do all of it alone (am I too anal), but with my bum arm, he has been a great help. I am truly thankful for such a wonderful man in my life. I would have been lost without him this year.
I have been laying a bit low in the blogging world, trying to rest my arm. It has been months and I do remember when my right arm went out a couple of years ago. It takes a year or so to get back to normal. Every morning I wake up hoping it left as quick as it came. It was so weird. I woke up one day and couldn’t lift it. My right arm had done the same. Then, one day I woke up and it worked. I try to be more careful and tell myself I just cannot do the things I used to do and accept it.
Be sure and check out my giveaways. There are some great books and super gift card giveaways going on. Maybe your Christmas present will come early. 🙂 Also, the Books From The Backlog post works. I made myself so curious about Nan’s Story by Paige Farmer that I am reading it right now. LOL
Stay safe and I’ll be seeing you.

Sounds like you have been quite productive. It’s odd, but I look at our 6 ft tree and do think it’s small. Maybe you can just put a really big star on top to make it higher. LOL. Hope the arm is getting stronger each day
LOL I have a very old angel topper. i took some pictures but i didn’t like how they turned out so i’ll try again and share them
Hope your arm will feel better real soon. My hubby didn’t help with the Christmas tree at all, but at least he came with me to go buy it!
My husband will also not be here this week and I plan on reading and blogging and listening to audiobooks as much as possible. I’ll most probably end up sleeping most of the time…! LOL!!
Have a good week and take care of yourself.

We only got a 4 foot tree but it’s a live one. It’s cute. My daughter loves having it. I hope your arm is better soon. I had a weird thing maybe 10 years ago where I couldn’t reach one arm up or back to unhook my bra and it was awful. It took the chiro to get it back to 70%, a physical therapist to 90% and dry needling to 100%, over a couple months. But it hasn’t reoccurred. I live with my daughter but because I am awake in the daytime and she is up at night we have lots of alone time. Happy holidays!

I enjoy it when my husband goes to play golf and I have some time alone. Don’t get me wrong…I am very, very glad to have him here during the pandemic, but I also love my alone time.
We have had our artificial tree for a couple of years now. I got it on sale, and it cost about the same as a real tree. I feel like it’s so much easier.
Hope your arm gets to feeling better. I had frozen shoulder several years ago, and it seemed to take forever to get better.
We have an artificial tree, it’s just far more convenient. It’s 7ft I think, we have 12ft high ceilings, but not enough free floor space to have a bigger tree.
My husband will be on holidays for about 3 1/2 weeks from this Friday, I know from experience I’ll be eager for him to return to work when the time comes 😉
Wishing you a great reading week
That is so wild about your arm! Who knows how the body operates sometimes? I do hope you get some relief soon though and it gets back to normal. Also, yes to artificial trees. We have one too and it’s nice. And I’m the same way, I’m anal about the ornaments lol.
Hope your weekend is nice!
I don’t get much alone time either what with the kids doing school online. And I understand arm issues. What you describe happens to me often. I hope you feel better soon!
I haven’t had much alone time this year, only two half-days, and I miss that space even if I love my companion and children. We have a small artificial tree here and I decorated everything out of the reach of cats, lol.
Enjoy your alone time and take care 🙂
I’m sorry you are having so many problems with your arm. It must get in the way of everything, even the most mundane everyday things we take for granted. I’ve been in a bad mood all week and my dad is the same so we’re grousing about the house moaning about everything. I’m so glad the Darts have started on TV to occupy us!
I hope you feel better soon. And I am sure your tree looks great, can’t wait to see the pics.
