Hi Everyone. Well, Covid is alive and all too well. I don’t know what to say any more. We have had warm weather and some sunny skies, to go with the rain. The tropical storms brewing in the southern waters have not had much of an impact on the Florida Panhandle and I am thankful for that. The pool is gorgeous and even cooled off a little after the rain. It got to 90, which is almost like bath water and now it’s down to 86, which feels refreshing. Funny how 4 degrees can make such a difference. I’ve been doing a lot of reading, as usual, and am trying to blog ahead for next month as much as possible. We are considering a road trip north in september, but I am still not sold on it. I’ll be calling family up there and seeing what they think about it. My mother is in a nursing home, so that will play a big part. We had actually wanted to take this trip last year, but Covid cancelled those plans. Will the same happen this year? And when will I ever be able to take my Pensacola to Keys via the Gulf Coast scenic route tour? It is really the only thing on my bucket list, after the family visit. I want to ride through the Everglades, swim with the Manatees, visit the mermaids, walk in Hemingway’s footprints, and I have to see the green flash (fingers crossed) in the sunset at the farthest reaches of the Florida coast.
Stay safe, wear a mask..

Yes, Covid is still a thing… even if the people in my state think otherwise… but I won’t go into that. I hope you can go on your trip this year safely.
I just got back to work after being out with Covid for 5+ weeks. It’s a tough bug and I still have some lingering symptoms. Be safe you guys. I want to head north too but don’t think now is the time. This virus is escalating again and there are several new variants. Your southern trip sounds fabulous!
I hope you get to take some of your trips. We are pulling back right now, staying home as much as possible again, wearing masks if we need to go somewhere. I have lots of reading to do so it’s not really a problem.

If you do take a trip, I hope you stay safe.
I do hope you are able to take the last trip on your bucket list. It certainly sounds like a fabulous one. We are planning a hiking trip in early November, and we want to visit our son and daughter-in-law in early October. Who knows if any of that will happen?
It’s been a crazy year for weather in Texas. Tropical storms going up north and a week of freezing weather last winter.
That trip sounds wonderful. I’d ike to do that too- all those things you mention sound like a blast. Plus I haven’t been to the Keys yet…
Sorry to hear about Covid being so bad there. It’s bad here too in Michigan or getting that way, depending on the area. Sigh.
Be well.
Yes, unfortunately Covid is still here are spreading like crazy again. I hope you’re able to take some trips despite this!
I think we will get out of this mess by next summer. There needs to be a federal mask mandate, though, with fines and jail time for non-compliance like there was during the Spanish flu epidemic. Without it new strains will just keep developing. 😐
It is funny how a drop in just a few degrees makes a big difference. I hope you had those sun shiny days you were looking for.
