.
I started my organizing by cleaning out all the books on Goodreads that I had under ‘want to read’ but didn’t own. I’m not sure if I have added all the book to read, but this is where I stand as of 3.27.20:
- Goodreads Want To Read Shelf: 2460
Now, I am gathering the physical books sitting on shelves or stacked on the floor around the house. Here is my first stack:
Signed Physical Books
- Proud Bastards by Michael Helms
- Colel by Mimi by Jean Pamfiloff
- Chance of Loving You by Blackstock, Calvert & Warren
- The Private War of Corporal Henson
- A Study in Temperance by Ichabod Temperance
- In A Latitude of Temperance by Ichabod Temperance
- The Spirit Collectors by M Amanuensis Sharkchild
- Black Water Tales, The Secret Keepers by Jean Nicole Rivers
- The Composer’s Legacy by Michael DeStefano
- Utterly Loved by Kat Bastion
I bought the following two books from the author when I was hanging out at the Florabama…Doing it on the line. (Didn’t mean to include them in the above pic)
Unsigned Physical Books Won
I won one and bought one.

It’s always fun to take a peek at other blogger’s books! My Goodreads want to read shelf is books I own but haven’t read yet. I have a seperate wishlist for the books I’m thinking about buying. It makes it easier to keep track of things as I’m hopeless at times!
that’s a great idea. i think all on my list are amazon books, books i own (which i don’t have all of them on the list) and kindle books (which i don’t have all of them on the list) the more i try to organize the more confused i get. lol
I have so many books from the conventions we used to attend. I have been slowly reading them, but not “them”. I am finding the ebooks on my eLibrary resources and reading them there. I know! I have issues. I actually removed all books from my unread TBR, which I owned. I used that GR TBR as a reminder of books I want, but don’t have (and ARCs). I feel like if the book is here, staring me in the face, I will remember/know about it.
You mean you have over 2000 books on your want-to-read list?! OMGosh! I thought I was bad with 40-some. Well, you’ll never get bored.:-)
yep and i am trying not to add more, but…..lol
Mine is over 3,000. When I first started Tackling the TBR, my to-read list was near 5,000.
My want to read shelf on Goodreads is too big. I end up adding to it when I enter contests.
me too. i know some of the books i will never read…not enough time in my life. lol
Fun to see some of your books and know that I am not the only one with a staggering GoodReads Want to Read shelf. I have about 2700 on that shelf and these are all books I have in physical or digital and then I have a separate wish list shelf for books I want to read, but don’t own. Most of mine are freebies that I should probably cull through.
most of mine are freebies too. i figure if i own them, i want them on there.
It is always fun to take a peek at some of the books hanging out at other blogger’s homes. I honestly have no idea how many books I have to read but I know it is a lot!
i still have a few book shelves to go through in the office and guest bedroom to see what i haven’t read. i will get to them when i reorganize.
Seems like you’re doing great with your organizing! Love the Circus Mirandus stuff.
that was such a cool win. i ate the bag of animal crackers. lol
Oh my Gawd my Goodreads shelf is a hot mess! You have inspired me to work on it some. There are alot of books on there I have even lost interest in since adding them…
so far, i haven’t come across any that i own and want to delete. will i do that….i don’t know. many i should create another shelf. lol
Interesting that you have so many books on your want-to-read list at GR. I never keep more than a dozen or so. I move the books from GR to my library list or my Amazon list.
these are all books i own in some way. i am thinking of doing something like, but then i have to worry about keeping them organized. lol
Yay, I am so glad you are now doing this too! Tomorrow’s post for me is going to be interesting for sure!
I have somehow managed to get my TBR to be less than my Read shelf and I think that is the greatest/most realistic victory I can hope for. I used to have about the same number as you on my TBR but it was like, clear that I wasn’t going to read them all! I purged and purged until the lists caught up with each other, and now I am at about 1150 on each if I remember correctly! Also the circus promo is SO cool, I love it!!
