My Teaser for Kingdom by Anderson O’Donnell
“The soul,” Jael affirmed. “And not some abstract philosophical concept, but the real deal; an actual, physical thing. Hell, Campbell – you’ve seen the backroom at Ramoth, all the equipment. That’s what it’s for: mapping the soul.”

Blurb from Goodreads
In a secret laboratory hidden under the desert, a covert bioengineering project–codename “Exodus”–has discovered the gene responsible for the human soul.
Somewhere in the neon sprawl outside the nation’s collapsing economic core, a group of renegade monks are on the verge of uncovering a secret that has eluded mankind for centuries.
In a glittering tower high above the urban decay, an ascendant U.S. Senator is found dead–an apparent, yet inexplicable, suicide.
And in the streets below, a young man races through an ultra modern metropolis on the verge of a violent revolution….closing in on the terrible truth behind Exodus–and one man’s dark vision for the future of mankind.
Welcome to Tiber City.

Wow! The blurb alone makes this sound like quite the exciting read! The cover even gives you a feel for the world they live in.
I have had this on my reading list for quite a while and am just now getting to it. Has a very interesting premise and I am hoping it is a good read. ^_^

A fascinating teaser.
Thanks for your interest, Mary.
Mapping the soul… interesting…
I thought so too. There seems to be a lot going on in this novel.
Exciting and intriguing!
The premise is very interesting and it sounds like there will be a lot of action, I like that.
Kick ass cover art! I bet you are lovin this one. Mapping the soul. If possible, that would be dangerous and maybe immoral. Can’t wait to read your review.
Mine is from Another Faust. I picked the book up at the used store for pennies. Hard print too – http://fuonlyknew.com/2014/03/11/teaser-tuesdays-61-another-faust/
When I saw the helicopter on the cover and the car burning, I thought cool. I love shoot ’em up, blood and guts. We will see what the story brings. I’m on my way to see what you are up to. ^_^
Oooh, that teaser quote has me interested.
I flipped the book open and saw that on the page. Pretty much covers what the books is about, bioengineers playing God. Not preachy religious, more scientific.
