Kill Sleep Repeat Volume II by Britney King, takes place five years after Volume I. These women walk the dark side of life, putting themselves in danger to accomplish their mission. They struggle to have a private life, which is difficult because of the need to keep so many secrets.
Charlotte Jones has some hard and fast rules she lives by. She has been trained to kill and is pretty damn good at it. She is bold, fearless. Now, she is training her daughter, Sophie, to take over the family business. Sophie is reckless, often acting on impulse. If Charlotte can’t rein her in, the agency will dispose of her.
Charlotte also has another daughter away at boarding school, Hayley. Charlotte keeps her far from the action, but Hayley does not appreciate it or know the reason why. She is headstrong and determined to insinuate herself into Charlotte and Sophie’s life.
I love books where secrets are exposed, especially the killer ones.
Britney King keeps me on my toes. Her writing creates a mystery that slowly unfolds. Will it be Charlotte’s undoing? I love serial killer novels and Britney is creating multiple ones in a single family. Is this the end of the story for the Charlotte Jones and her family, or are the characters talking to Britney, telling her they are not finished with her yet.
