I am a sun lover, so when I lived in Rochester, New York for ten years, I had to come up with something that would get me outside.
My love of photography came to my rescue.
It didn’t make me forget about the cold, but it did give me the incentive to venture out. Especially, when there are scenes like the ones below to capture my love of nature.
The ice and snow covers everything in a beautiful white blanket and the world around me seems silent.
The power of the water is mesmerizing.
I feel alone, as if the moment was created just for me.

Great photos, Sherry. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year! – Kel
Thanks Kelan. Happy New Year.
OMG, so beautiful. I never seen Niagara Falls like this.
It was bitter cold and very icy, but so worth it.
Amazing photos. Happy New Year, Sherry.
Thanks Emma. Happy New Year.
Happy New Year sis!
Wonderful photos:) I wish I’d had time to stop and see the falls when I visited you in New York. The park and grand canyon ya’ll took me to was beautiful though!
Seems like there is never enough time to do all the sight seeing tour when people come to visit. We do try though. ^_^
Wow, it’s even more amazing in the winter! Great photos! Happy New Year!
I like to do a lot of my traveling during the off season. It almost seems like Mother Nature puts on a display just for me. ^_^ Happy New Year.
Ok. Well, first let me wish everyone a happy new year. I cannot think of anything right off the bat that I have done that would cause a “ripple” effect. Oh, and I think your photos of Niagara Falls are wonderful!
Thanks for stopping in and commenting Tiffany.
I hope the comment above enters me in the contest.
I got ya covered. ^_^
WOW. Absolutely stunning!
Thanks Elisabeth. I love exploring and sometimes the days when no one else wants to come out are the best.
