Everything about Under The Board walk talked to me, especially the title and cool cover, and now I am trying to decipher what cover I am supposed to use and because the title was changed too. I am disappointed about the cover and title, but the blurb still makes me want to read it. The second cover is the newer one.
GOODREADS BLURB
Wounded artist Hallie Reed comes to Pajaro Bay for a summer job at the funky old amusement park owned by her college roommate’s family. But she finds more than she bargained for: danger, romance, and a new beginning await Hallie during her summer at the beach, and she—and the whole town—will be changed forever by what she finds Under the Boardwalk.
Welcome to the charming little village of Pajaro Bay, with its cast of quirky characters and its cottages overlooking the sun-drenched coast.

I added this on 10.4.12. Like I said above, I grabbed this because of the title, Under The Boardwalk and the fabulous cover. I still want to read it because I love anything beachy and I want to know what she finds Under The Boardwalk. How about you? Which title and cover speak to you?
If you look at her website, it’s obvious why she changed the cover and title and it does make the series appear branded.

If I were going to the beach, I’d totally want the first cover. But if I’m just hanging out at the pool or the back porch (because, duh, the pool’s closed) then the second cover is fine.
thanks for the great comment priscilla
I like the cover with flowers, but that and the title definitely have a different feel than the original. Still, it seems like a Summery-type of read. Hope you like it! 🙂
definitely a good one for the summertime and i hope to get to it real soon
Yeah, I like the title and cover too. Maybe she was worried about it already being used?
That blurb does sound great. I think you have a good one.
Both scream beach-read to me, and what better time to read books like these than the summer
don’t they? great time to share them. 🙂
I like the background of the second one better, but the title and font of the first one, as well as their placing, more than the second. This does sound a great read, especially this time of year. I hope you enjoy it when you read it! Stay safe and well.
thanks for the cover comment. i does fit the season
They look so summery!!
for sure
It’s a marvelous idea to look at books in our backlogs. These look especially good.
since i’ve started doing this, i have knocked out a few. makes me feel good. 🙂
I really like that first cover better!
me too!
I definitely like the first cover waaaaaaay better. I am not a flowery person at all and if I was going on just the covers, the second would make me think twice about picking it up. I admit it, I am a cover snob.
ditto. i am a cover snob too and often grab books just because of it. lol
I like the second cover, but if I was looking for a beach read I may be tempted by the first one. I hope you get to read it and enjoy it since it certainly is a summer read.
i’m looking forward to reading it…soon
I’m in the mood for these. Great ones for a summer read by the pool:)
me too. some fun easy reading is in order
Nice summer vistas! I could do with a nice chilled out holiday but that’ll be a long time coming!
i know what you mean. i’m glad we bought our little piece of paradise when we moved down here. we were thinking this will be our last house
