As you will see below, I am a fan of Ken La Salle’s. He writes in a variety of genres and I have enjoyed all that I have read. When he contacted me and said he would love to spread the holiday cheer and bring Christmas to fundinmental early, I was all in. So…what do we have on tap for you? Two, count them, two books, the first in a series, to get you started.
Let’s start with Heaven Enough
What a wonderful surprise. This lovely cover opens up to reveal an amazing story that lingers long after I close the pages.
This is another cover from when I first read Heaven Enough, Book I of the The Heaven Series. Which do you like better?

GOODREADS BLURB
On a beautiful, spring afternoon, a broken man stands at his wife’s funeral and hears the words, “Heaven Enough.” Thus begins a poem about longing, about wishing for something more. “What would it be like if I had heaven enough?” it reads.
Matt Murphy reads these words for the first time at his wife’s funeral. After a death shrouded with mystery, it is the first time he learns that she wrote poetry. He and Diva were married for nearly twenty years, yet he did not “know” her. A poet and lover of culinary delights, she is struck by a car and killed instantly—randomly—on the wrong side of town.
When her brother, the “monk,” appears for the funeral, Matt is set on an unprecedented course. The two find Diva’s computer filled with preparations to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. Over 2600 miles from Mexico to Canada…and she was leaving without her husband.
Matt takes it upon himself to hike the trail and sprinkle her ashes along the way. What happens in the first two hours is dumbfounding.
What happens next changes his life forever…

GOODREADS BLURB
The time of the uniborg was foretold on a distant planet. So, what does it have to do Max Dedge, loose wheel and occasional detective? This is just the start of the galactic event known as The BreakThrough, an event that could erase human existence, an event that could spell doom for planet Earth and possibly for history itself. It’s also an event that Max Dedge is blissfully unaware of at the moment. And that’s a good thing. Because Max Dedge is about to find himself shot at on an alien world, fried by magic in Mexico, investigating corporate underhandedness in New Jersey, following leads on a vanished Rabbi in France, and being chased by certain death from one world to another and in between. At his side, the wizard Jracilla who has trained all her life for this day, thief and nemesis Arturo Delgado who is forever up to no good, and Sylvester… a very special phone. Max Dedge in The Time of The Uniborg combines a unique fantasy experience with a mystery that binds two worlds and beyond, setting the stage for the epic adventure of The BreakThrough. The BreakThrough is set against a dynamically changing universe filled with characters who will helm their own titles. Max Dedge in The Time of The Uniborg is just the first step into a universe of magic and time travel, rogues and wizards, space jalopies and portals to other worlds, taking you to the precipice of what you thought science fiction and fantasy could be and then throwing you over the side.

Science fiction fantasy with a good mystery . . . sounds great.
To answer the question, I would much rather visit a romance world because it doesn’t seem as dangerous as meeting a dragon or a magic-wielding elf in a fantasy world!
lol Good luck Priscilla.
Thanks for entering, Priscilla!
Both of these sound excellent, Sherry. In my younger days, I’d visit a fantasy world. So much adventure and marvelous creatures. For my golden years, I’d go with romance. I want someone to share my later years with.
Thanks for entering, Laura!
Oh goodness. Heaven Enough sounds like quite the read.
Thank you!
It’s fabulous Anne. Hope you get a chance to read it.
