Thanks, Laura. I have never seen the desert so green! It was beautiful.
Funny, when a drought is going on!
I thought so too. Is the drought because everyone steals the water from the Colorado before nature can do its thing? There were dust storms going on while we were there. Day two they quit and on the Day we head home they started again. The turbulent ride kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire trip. I am a white knuckled flier.
Such beautiful flowers amidst dry dirt and rock. Amazing that they could grow there at all.
I know. The roads were lined with wildflowers and the shrubs and trees were more numerous than I have ever seen. Still, the dust devils were alive and well. I will be doing a post, but on our last day, as we were driving down the strip, the casinos were covered in dust making it look dystopian and very otherworldly. I have never seen anything like that in all the years I have been going…since ’93 or ’94. I will have to check that.
Lovely picture Sherry!
