GOODREADS BLURB
Shayna and her two best friends have the abilities to manipulate and control the four elements, earth, air, water and fire. While learning to hone their growing powers, they discover a new and malicious presence in their sleepy beach town. Someone is performing blood magic and threatens to expose their small magical community. So far only small animals have been slaughtered, but then the nightmares start.
Shayna suffers nightmares of being chased and sacrificed only to wake up bloodied and bruised. She thinks her magical blood is the ultimate target for the final blood rite. When an innocent girl, Tracy, is kidnapped Shayna knows it’s only a ploy to draw her out; she can’t let someone die because of her.

I love books that are located in beach towns and magical communities. There are so many elements I like about the book, her nightmares, waking up bloody and bruised…I want to know what is going on. I picked this up on 7.31.12.

i thought it was great too. made me click. lol
Waking up bloodied and bruised is scary, but magic is cool. I wouldn’t say I read a ton of books set in magical communities, but I do enjoy it, when I do. Especially if the authors creates some cool powers.
yeah, that caught my attention too. i love magical books
Hope you like it – the element control part definitely reminded me of The Craft!
what…you trying to give me another book to read? lol
Lol, no! It was a movie that came out in the mid-90s. This group of girls tried their hand at witchery goodiness and it went terribly wrong, as NO ONE COULD HAVE PREDICTED! It’s kind of a cult classic, but totally worth the time!
thanks for letting me know. sounds good to me and i’ll be checking it out. no one could have predicted…lol
