Ghost Light Road by Adam Light
“It’s that time of year again, kids!” he exclaimed.
“Who’s ready for some delicious treats?”
He let the last word carry out for a full three seconds, determined to whip the kids into a frenzy of unbridled sugar lust.

The Riggle Twins by Gregor Xane
For the twins, the days between Halloweens passed like hours. The sun and moon circled their treehouse home like hungry wolves. There were shadows everywhere inside, in constant motion. Every object looked to be either bleeding darkness or drinking it up. Thanks to Sam, their benefactor, time worked differently for the Riggle twins. Unlike other children, they didn’t have to trudge through a whole year played at the proper speed to arrive again at their favorite holiday. But still they were impatient. They were children, after all, and living through what felt like only fifteen days between Halloweens was still sometimes too much to bear. They didn’t sleep through the periods of fleeting darkness, either, which only made things worse. Again, thanks to Sam, they had no need for sleep.
SYNOPSIS
The five freshest voices in horror will make you reconsider leaving the house on October 31st with these all-new Halloween tales:
• A brother and sister creep out of the darkness with bags full of deadly tricks in Gregor Xane’s THE RIGGLE TWINS.
• A boy with a misshapen skull just wants to be normal in Evans Light’s PUMPKINHEAD TED.
• A group of thrill seekers learn that looking for terror is a whole lot more fun than finding it in Adam Light’s GHOST LIGHT ROAD.
• Two bullies go looking for trouble but instead find a young boy and his imaginary friend in Jason Parent’s EASY PICKINGS.
• When a mysterious, Halloween-themed attraction comes to the town of Bay’s End, everyone is dying to pay a visit in Edward Lorn’s THE SCARE ROWS.

Thank you for visiting fundinmental!
The Riggle Twins was so creepy. Gave me shivers. Have you finished yet? I’m hoping to continue reading this weekend. Just finished Santa’s Little Helper by H.D. Gordon and what a ride it was. You’d love it.
I’m not done yet and I have a note on my calendar to pick up HD’s book. How could I not? LOL
Oh sounds creepy! I love spooky short stories especially around this time of year!
I am on the last one and they have been spookalicious. Thanks for visiting, Katherine.
Oh, creepy and perfect for this time of year. Not for me, but enjoy!
I have been targeting horror for the spooktacular month of October. I know they are not for everyone. ^_^ Have a great weekend, Bea.
I’m such a wimp, so I don’t read horror stories. Stephen King’s words will haunt me for weeks! But I hope you enjoy this book.
Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog post today.

You are welcome. I enjoy seeing what you are up to. Enjoy the weekend, Sandra.
Look at that book cover! You 56 teaser has left me with a bad feeling, what are his motives!? Poor children! What happens next!? Ha ha! Great post; thanks for sharing 🙂
Horribly horrible is all I’m saying. LOL Nice to “see” you, Claudia.
I can’t read horror stories. They creep me out! But I do love horror movies. LOL I think because I watch them and send them on their way. Keeping the horror books in the house spooks me. 😉
I can see why you wouldn’t want them in your house. The boogeyman and monsters come from everywhere, especially between the pages of a book. LOL
I love short stories, and this book sounds ideal for this time of year!
Happy weekend!
I thought so too. Happy reading, Freda.
I am always ready for delicious treats 🙂 Thanks for dropping by my blog ♥
NYZE@everythingnyze
These authors have some tasty ones for you, Nyze. I look forward to visiting your blog and see what you are reading. Have a good weekend.
I like the comparisons she makes when describing in the beginning! Thanks for stopping by my blog! 🙂
My BB was kinda long, but I wanted to show that the children were a bit different, to put it mildly. LOL
Perfect timing with this great post. It’s spooktacular!
Thanks and happy reading!
