He straightened, holding her gaze, a flash of heat in his brown eyes. With a kick of his boot, he snapped the rest of the trunk and the tree went down.
Toby rushed to the tree and examined it with Max.
Rachel crossed her arms. “Very macho, Mr. Harper. If you’re trying to impress me, it’s working.”
(Book Beginnings)
Rachel Carne lay awak, her heart pounding with alarm, unable to sleep for the noise outside. Wind howled around the house, sending things clattering along the street. Rain pelted the windows in a torrential downpour, drumming against the glass.
SYNOPSIS
A heartwarming tale of second chances for Christmas.
When a tree falls on Rachel’s house in a storm, the person who rescues her is Ian, the same man who rejected her declaration of love when she was eighteen. She has banished him from her thoughts for eight years, but all her feelings rush back as he plays the white knight and takes Rachel and her son into his home. The young man she once knew is now a wealthy, successful business owner, and more gorgeous than ever. Life has left them both bruised, but can they put the past behind them and start again?

Thanks for visiting fundinmental!
Gorgeous cover and interesting excerpt! Thanks for sharing and enjoy.
Here’s mine: “WALKING ON TRAMPOLINES”
I’ve been reading nonstop too — starting another book as soon as I finish one. I’ve found that if I don’t write a review or draft a blog post immediately after reading a book, I tend to forget the details — not good.
A CHRISTMAS FAMILY WISH sounds like a delightful Christmas story. Yes, I definitely like the idea of second chances.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave a comment.
