I have tried to come up with a way to make things simpler for myself when it comes to choosing my next novel to share. This is what I have come up with.
I am starting with the first author on *this* bookshelf and…
now I am moving on to The Great and Secret Show by Clive Barker.
As you can see from my bookshelf, I have numerous books by Clive Barker and revel in his fantastic adventures into the unusual. I try not to add more books to my shelves, so I keep updated on his current releases through my wonderful library, for the most part.
The Great and Secret Show by Clive Barker
MY FRIDAY 56
“I didn’t know there was a lake down here,” Joyce remarked, turning to Trudi.
“There wasn’t,” came the reply. “Not that I remember.”
“Well there is not,” said Carolyn
(page 56 of a hardcover)
MY BOOK BEGINNINGS
Homer opened the door.
“Come on in, Randolph.”
Jaffe hated the way he said Randolph, with the faintest trace of contempt in the word, as though he knew every damn crime Jaffe had ever committed, right from the first, the littlest.

Thanks for visiting fundinmental!
Gods and powers and mortal children, this sounds very bizarre to me.
It’s been so long since I read this one that I don’t remember it! Maybe I’ll pull it off the shelf and read it again:)
I need to read this author! 🙂
Check out my Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings).
I don’t usually read horror, but this one sounds intriguing. I like the second cover best.
Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
I’ve never read Barker. >ducking for cover< His books always seemed too intense for me. But I believe along with King and Koontz, he is one of my sister's favorites.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have a great weekend! 🙂
I’m not a horror reader, but do appreciate your introduction of a book I might recommend to a friend.
Horror book + lake = no bueno. The first cover freaks me out, but the second looks eerie as well. Happy weekend!
Great quotes. It seems like a story that’ll really get you thinking. Seems a little freaky!
Have a great day,
Amy x
Not read this author, but I know I need too. 🙂 I like the cover with the mailbox more than the other one.

Friday Memes
I think I like the first cover best but they’re both pretty great. Would you believe I’ve never read any Clive Barker? I’ve heard of him of course but have never picked a book up.
This author is new to me. The blurb sounds interesting. Here is my Friday 56

Looks like you are reaching the end of your Clive Barker marathon. Will you be caught up?
I’m spotlighting Screwball by Linda Morris this week. Happy reading!
Saying you like Clive Barker might be an understatement… .lol
Intriguing snippets, of course!
Happy weekend!
I really need to try a clive barker book.
I’ve never read a Clive Barker book. SOunds like I should remedy that situation.
