MY REVIEW
I have been reading this fangtastic series from the beginning, so to read Human by Elisabeth Wheatley and learn Fletchers’s story is a real treat. It is not a happy story, in fact, it’s down right heartbreaking.
Fletcher met Haddasah by happenstance and she has become a reluctant friend. As their friendship grows into something more, they try to deny their love for each other. Hadassah explains why it can never be. A Romeo and Juliet affair? More like Isabella and Edward.
The dialogue between them is snarky and fun.
Oh man, now I really understand why they are on the run and Haddie…
The ending was brutal, savage, fanglorious and I was surprised and agree with Elisabeth that Fletcher’s story needed to be told. It explains Haddie’s actions and the ending made me bump Human’s rating to a four.

GOODREADS BLURB
Senior year isn’t an ideal time to switch schools, but Fletcher Haverson needs it for his college applications. Opportunities are great, even if the social side sucks. But life gets unexpectedly better when he meets a sarcastic, gorgeous classmate who’s really fun to kiss. Haddie is the perfect girl—with fangs.
A jealous ex-not-boyfriend and interspecies dating bans are stacked against them, but Fletcher’s willing to risk it. What’s the harm in doing something stupid for love, just once? Turns out, quite a bit.
He’s crossed a line with Haddie and in the world of vampires, there’s nothing worse than being human.
ABOUT ELISABETH WHEATLEY
Elisabeth Wheatley began what would be her first novel at eleven and hasn’t stopped writing since. When she’s not daydreaming of elves, vampires, and/or hot guys in armor, she can be found wasting time on the internet, fangirling over her latest obsession, and pretending to be a functional citizen.

MY ELISABETH WHEATLEY REVIEWS
This was such a good series. Sounds like another emotional one from Elisabeth. Great cover too. Love how she did the font for her name!
I have been loving this series and was glad to find out Fletcher’s story. It’s not a happy one.
Thanks so much for reviewing! You’re the best and I’m glad you enjoyed it. I thought about that song constantly while writing this!
Sometimes that song that sticks in your head can be annoying, others, not so much. It spoke to me loud and clear. 🙂
