The cover for Fallen by Aria Glazki is fantastic. I look at it and wonder…I get the feeling of romance and death. Am I right? Am I wrong? What do you think?

MY REVIEW
Fallen immediately brought to mind The Great Gatsby.
Violetta is the belle of the ball, the cream of the crop, and she knows it. She is all about the decadence, the ultimate parties, dressed to the nines, and moving amongst the elite.
Adrian is not even in the same league, let alone the same ball park and he knows it, but he revels in her presence. He is there, but not for the same reasons as her. He never believed she even knew he existed, let alone would spend any time with him.
Manhattan is her mistress and she counts her days until they part. Tick Tock. Her time is running out.
OMG! Better have tissues ready because I think you will need them. Happiness and sadness go hand in hand in this heartrending love story. The characters grow and develop into deeper personalities.
If you feel like there is no meat on the bones at the beginning of the story, don’t get your panties in a wad. The characters won me over, drawing me in so deep I couldn’t stop reading. Read it in one sitting because even though I knew the ending, I had to know the journey.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Fallen by Aria Glazki.

GOODREADS BLURB
Violetta Dorée wrings every drop of pleasure from her life, and Manhattan’s social elite are happy to help, pampering their darling with endless luxuries. And why not? She deserves a little fun before she dies.
But there are pleasures money can’t buy. When Adrian Thompson with his box-store khakis and overly concerned eyes insists that Vi’s missing out, her curiosity is piqued. What else can she do but indulge it?
Fans of Moulin Rouge! and Me Before You will love this contemporary retelling of Verdi’s La Traviata.

Well you know you have me curious. Great teaser review!
Glad to hear it, Kim.
Thanks for the heads up about sticking with it. It’s easy to get discouraged with books when you aren’t immediately pulled in. Especially when you have so many books you’re dying to read. I’m glad this one worked out for you.
I love books that start with a lot of action and a hook so I am immediately involved. But some books take time to develop and a little patience can be rewarded.
Thanks so much for reading & writing such a thoughtful review, Sherry! <3
It’s my pleasure Aria. You took me on quite a ride and I do love being surprised.
Glad to hear it was worth pushing through. I;m not crazy about a slow start but happy when it pays off. Great review, Sherry.
Not all books can be fireworks from the getgo, but I have no problem giving them the benefit of the doubt and have been rewarded more times than I can remember for doing so.
