Hope everyone is having a great weekend. This was a great week. I am getting back in the swing of things after being laid up and it feels great. I spent a couple of hours cleaning the pool (and enjoying it, of course). It is now sparkly clean and the flamingo is enjoying it.
Mr Wonderful started the day off with photos of the sunrise, while I lay sleeping. LOL I played some golf and toured the OKeefe Museum in Bilox, Mississippi, where The Blue Dog was being showcased. Picked up some fireworks on the way home.
We have had a visitor, Mr Toad, who seems to like nestling down in the damp soil of this Amyrillis plant. I was going to transplant it, but I will have to wait until he moves on. I like looking out the slider and seeing him hunkered down, hanging out and loving life. The photo isn’t that great, but I didn’t want to disturb him, so I shot it through the slider and screen. If he saw me, he didn’t seem to care.

Is there a book you just can’t live without, that you would like to recommend to all of us?
~~~~~~~~~~~~
We get a couple of regular toads in our garden. I like watching them chill out! And I’m looking forward to Jurassic Florida!
I love nature and even put a critter saver in my pool. It allows critters to climb out, though I must say sometimes they don’t make it. This little guy has been hanging around for a few days now. We had a get together yesterday and he didn’t seem to mind until it got dark. I think he was hungry and we were in the way. 🙂
Looks like you two have been busy having fun! I bet you snuck in some slots while in Biloxi. LOL Miss ya!
Of course. Not a lot of gambling though. We were too busy doing other things. I was so glad to be able to do some of the things I have been missing.
Well hello Mr. Toad! Glad he’s making himself comfortable! And nice pics too- love the lighthouse! And the flamingo. 🙂
I need to get Jurassic Florida.
Thanks Greg. Ya just never know who might stop in for a visit around here.
Love the pics, Sherry and I’m glad you are feeling better. I hope the coming week is another good one. The toad is beautiful…
Mr Toad thanks you Sarah. 🙂
Looks like a fun week. I hope it wasn’t too hot or humid. Anne – Books of My Heart
Never too hot or humid for me. 🙂
Lovely photos! We have tons of toads here. I see them when I walk the dog at night. I like your flamingo. Sometimes I wish I had a pool, but I wouldn’t want to clean it. Have a great week!
Yeah, the cleaning is not my favorite thing to do, but everything has a cost. 🙂
I have to say that I think you look awesome golfing! Love the crystal clean pool too. One of these days I’ll get a pool and relax in it on a regular basis. 🙂 Have a fabulous week and enjoy your new books!
Thanks Tressa. I had a great time on the course and did hit some good shots. The pool was a lifelong desire and it took years and luck to end up here in my little bit of paradise. So…dream big…ya never know what tomorrow holds for you.
Awesome photos and look pups! It doesn’t take much to amuse me. That pool looks so inviting. Hope you get plenty of time to relax in it!
Thanks. Being retired, I sure do. 🙂
I need a seashore vacay in the worst way! Ha ha. Maybe next year. My son seems to have stopped changing his major requiring more semesters at school. ha! 🌅
Glad you are feeling better. I love going to art museums. Thanks for sharing about your visit! 🎨
Toad love. 💖 Have a wonderful week. 🌞
I love the beach and even having a pool it doesn’t stop me from needing my sandy, salt in the air fix. Thanks for sending Mr Toad some love. LOL
I am so jealous of your pool.
Jurassic Florida…I need to look into that book. 🙂
I used to think it would never happen. I moved a lot trying to find my place. It took some financial needs, some luck and Mr Wonderful to make it happen. So…never give up on your dreams.
I love your pool~!Love the flamingo -you look ready for summer!!
Ahhh… pool time! I love the pics you post, makes me feel warmer! Australia is so cold right now!
Golf looked fun! Great pics!
Great pictures! I love the one of what looks like a lighthouse on land!
Hope you’ve had a great week.
