Hi Everyone. Hope you had a great week and managed to stay warm at this cold weather hits. The sun may be out here in Florida, but, man oh man, it is chilly. I get goose bumps if there is a slight breeze and it’s under 70. I forgot to look at the grass this morning, but the temp was under 40. Yesterday we had frost, YUK! That’s just wrong
I don’t know if I am having allergy attacks or getting a cold, OH NO. I started last year with a horrible case of the flu, so I am leery of being out and about this time of year. Looks like maybe I wasn’t careful enough, you know, WASH YOUR HANDS, DON’T TOUCH YOUR FACE, type of stuff.
Oh well, such is life…and there is lots of blogging to do. Let me know what your week has been like and I hope you have a good one.
We played golf on Tuesday and this is how I felt.
This is how Mr Wonderful felt.
And I gave up…
What you can’t see…I had a car blanket wrapped around my legs too. LOL
And…the Reese’s Senior Bowl is in town so we made a quick stop in Mobile, Alabama. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate and the rain finally moved in. Didn’t bother me. I was so cold, I was over it anyway. LOL Damn this getting older. When I was even 5 years younger, this wouldn’t have stopped me. Now it’ been there, done that, have the T-shirt…and I do have the T-shirt. LOL
How about you? Are you a cold weather lover, or is the steamy tropics for you?

I’m fine with the cold weather if I don’t have to go out in it! I like sitting by a warm fire on a cold day!
You sound like me. lol
Looking from far away, it almost looks like the golfer is on a pogo stick, lol. As for the cold, I’m pretty used to it, but the wind has been real bad in Minnesota this week.
Very observant. The wind was howling here, but it has quieted down now.
I don’t enjoy the cold, but I must admit I like a change of seasons, so living in Virginia is right for me.:-) It looks like you’re having a blast in your golfing photos even if you are cold!
Nothing stops us. Mr Wonderful’s motto is “Live Life 110” each and every day.
I know what you mean about being out and cold. I don’t want to do it anymore myself. I still want to move to a warm climate and forget about this darn cold. Have a wonderful week!
Mary my #SundayRoundup #55!
There is plenty of room here in sunny Florida, but we do get a bit chilly now and then.
No… I spent time as a child in Africa and I’ve never really recovered – so like you, I enjoy the heat and LOATHE the cold… And it’s getting worse as I get older:(.
I know exactly what you mean. When I first moved to Florida I used to be running around with shorts, Ts and flip flops all year long. I would go swimming on Christmas and New Years, sitting in my favorite bar, Schooners in Panama City Beach, drinking cocktails and yapping. My how it has changed. Right now, I’m in sweats, under a blankie with a cup of coffee at my side. LOL Such is life.
I hate the cold, but I hate really hot weather too. I am still searching for my nirvana of in-between weather. 30s without wind is ok for me, but once the snow comes, I am done. At least you could still get out and golf.
Hmmm…nirvana…let me know if you find it. 🙂
Had to bundle up a little on the golf course huh? Wow. I find it bothers me too as I get older- when I was a kid I didn’t care about the cold, but now… no. A warmer climate is sounding pretty good. 🙂
It’s amazing the things I think of now, that never phased when I was even twenty years younger.
I can’t handle the cold. There was a time that I would brave it to see a good game or do something with my friends but those days are over.
It’s definitely not high on my lilst. 🙂
That’s so funny. Mr. Wonderful is in shorts and you are looking frozen all bundled up in layers. LOL I work outside so I avoid the cold when I get done.
It is funny, most of the time.
You’d definitely need a blanket if you were golfing here. We had single digits for 2 nights – YUK!
NO!!!!!!
Haha, those golf photos are awesome. I hate being out in the cold. I use it as an excuse to stay inside and read. Have a great week!
I try to but it’s hard to hold Mr Wonderful back. He is a very active guy.
LOL on the car blanket. Gotta keep warm somehow!
Oh blerg on the ick. It seems to have gotten all of us this month.
Got that right. 🙂
I hope you warm up. It was -37 with the windchill here last week, but I retired on the first, so I don’t have to go out in it anymore. Ha ha. 👍✨
I’m retired too so I know what you mean.
Well I lived in Iowa and Minnesota most of my life with lots of below zero temps. So I can take it. But I wanted to ride my Harley year round so I moved to North Carolina 3.5 years ago. I like the smaller range of temps here. It almost never gets below 15, and not usually over 100. Minnesota was more like -30 to 110. I kid you not. Last winter was colder than this one, so far. But we have already had a couple days with snow. Stay warm and try to enjoy some books!
Minnesota…wouldn’t want to be there now. Happy reading Anne.
