Hello. Welcome to another edition of Sherry’s Shelves. I’m binge watching movies on Hulu, which I got for $10 a year, and Amazon Prime, which my husband’s cousin shared with us on his last visit. I’ve watched more movies in the past couple of weeks than I have in several years combined.

We had to get a new critter for the pool…

BUT…A gust of wind picked the poor flamingo from the pool right into the yucca plant…and that’s all she wrote…

We adopted an even bigger one…and tied this one down. I do plan on spending a lot of quality time with….Hmmm…gotta figure out a name. Any suggestions?

We made it to the 50th Jazz Festival in New Orleans. Unfortunately, I was not feeling my normal self, still having trouble with my arm Physical Therapy is helping, though it is a long and slow process. Here are a few photos from Mr Wonderful. I haven’t been able to shoot photos for months now and I do miss it.

  3. Can I just tell you how fun the critter saga was to look at. Ha! Sorry to hear your arm is still bothering you. I hate when injuries keep me from doing things I enjoy.

  7. Death by yucca – tragic 🙁 but cool new flamingo and the festival looked fun! I’d call him Carlos cuz he looks like he can handle himself 😉

  8. Poor flamingo. I think Phoenix would be a good name. After all, this one rose from the ashes after the last one was sacrificed 🙂 Of course, I also immediately thought Frederick but it’s very random.

    Looks like you had a great week and can I say, Jimmy Buffet has aged very well.

  9. I love Hulu and Netflix! Best investment ever! Such a cute Flamingo! How about calling her “Pinky?” LOL The New Orleans Festival looks like such a great time! I hope you feel better soon!
