My mom has made it to Paradise. My sister, Laura, came over and we spent the time playing cards, watching movies and spashing in the pool.

Last night was the full moon and I spent hours sitting outside on my patio shooting photos and enjoying the warm night air. The night came alive in sounds, like the moisture dripping and hitting the leaves on the trees and the ground. The sound of a bug flitting from leaf to leaf as I see its shadow pass in front of the moon. As I began to concentrate on all the sounds, I became a bit nervous…and should I say…I was looking all around, wondering if something was out there with me. Have I read too many horror novels and immersed myself in too much murder and death? Was my imagination running rampant? There is not a lot that makes me look over my shoulder and peer into the shadows looking for the hidden monster. I don’t think the novels I read can scare me quite as much as I can scare myself. LOL

Sometimes I get the reading bug and I cannot stop picking up the next book, then the next book, then the next book…

I have also been doing a lot of work outside in preparation for my mother’s arrival this week. I am super excited and know the family from Alabama will be dropping in too. We will be playing endless games of cards along with many dips in the pool and a barbecue or two. I love summertime and it has arrived here in the Florida Panhandle in full force!

I must spend more time visiting you guys and sharing some comment love along with writing some reviews that I owe to some fabulous authors and I want to thank them for their patience.

I also want to thank Fiktshun for a box of books I won from her some time ago. Once I started, there were so many wonderful reads I couldn’t stop. The past three days I have gotten caught up in The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken and am lost in this dystopian world. I am sharing the books so you can see why I cannot stop reading this story. I got all three of them. I must find out what happens to Ruby and Liam! There are also two novellas, but I do not have them…yet.

This week was very laid back as I regrouped and reorganized. I have also been suffering from allergies. This year has been one of the worst yet. It seems like every other day there is something else blooming and blowing in the wind. The good thing…it will pass. So…if you are in the same boat as me…hang in there.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR

YAY! Sunshine and warm weather has come to the Florida Panhandle. Will it stay? I don’t know, but I am going to enjoy it! I couldn’t help but get started on my yard work, weeding and beautifying. Most of the time, I am behind on my my spring prep and don’t even begin until late March or early April. I am feeling good about getting a jump start and…I may even go for a little sunbathing. Getting in the pool, now that’s another thing altogether. But it won’t be long now.

The pool is a gorgeous shade of blue and I can hear it calling to me. Summer is right around the corner, for me that means any day now. 🙂sharkcopyright2
