Sheโs not a princess . . . but then, heโs no prince.
Polyhymnia is deep in enchanted sleep. High in a tower, behind an impenetrable barrier of magical thorns, she sleeps, dreams, and falls ever deeper into her curse.
Woken by a kiss, Poly finds herself in an alien world where three hundred years have passed and everyone she has ever known is dead. Luck, the enchanter who woke her, seems to think she is the princess. Understandable, since he found her asleep on the princessโ bed, in the royal suite, and dressed in the princessโ clothes.
Who cursed Poly? Why is someone trying to kill her and Luck? Why canโt she stop falling asleep?
And why does her hair keep growing?
Sometimes breaking the curse is just the beginning of the journey.

Poly was obliged to dissuade her hair from clasping Luck to her side before he could disentangle his arms, by which time she was feeling hot and bothered and misused.
โDonโt look at me like that,โ said Luck, his eyes very green. โI donโt particularly like being co-joined to you, either.โ
Poly, who hadnโt thought she was looking in any specific way, blushed.
Taking unfair advantage of her confusion, he added: โI thought princesses were meant to take lessons in charm and deportment.โ
It was rather a shock to be reminded that she was meant to be the princess. Poly had to close her mouth, which had automatically opened to correct Luck, before she said something unconsidered. She wanted badly to know why she had been used in an enchantment, and what exactly that enchantment was. Answers would undoubtedly be more forthcoming for a princess than a lady-in-waiting.
โI thought that wizards were meant to be versed in international diplomacy,โ she pointed out instead, feeling that it was time she put her foot down if she meant to be the princess. โYou laid hands on a royal personageโโ
โI didnโt; I kissed you,โ interposed Luck, curling a portion of Polyโs hair around one finger and closely observing it.
โThatโs what I said.โ
Luck disengaged his left wrist from the last of her hair and let go of the lock he held. โThen I seem to have been laying my lips on you, not my hands. Come along, Poly, and stop arguing. We have a long way to walk.โ
About the Author
W.R. Gingell is a Tasmanian author who lives in a house with a green door. She loves to rewrite fairytales with a twist or two–and a murder or three–and original fantasy where dragons, enchantresses, and other magical creatures abound. Occasionally she will also dip her toes into the waters of SciFi.
W.R. spends her time reading, drinking an inordinate amount of tea, and slouching in front of the fire to write. Like Peter Pan, she never really grew up, and is still occasionally to be found climbing trees.

I failedโฆ
My name is Ryder Carter, future heir of Realm Five, Minato.
I was destined to do great things, to walk alongside my fellow star knights, as we desperately searched for the woman who would lead our galaxy to salvation.
My spirit and I had failed her once, unable to prevent the chain of events and challenges sheโd faced for sixteen cycles. Then, we finally found her โ alive.
Within two rotations, sheโd blossomed into a beautiful rose โ such delicate petals, filled with purity and life. My mission was to guide her home, to where she truly belonged, as our Princess and saviour from the approaching darkness. She was more than just our Princess; I loved her with all my heart.
ButโฆI failed. My once perfect rose, damaged by my failures. Would she ever forgive me, her star knight whoโd sworn to protect her? Will I ever get the chance to tell her how much she means to meโฆto us?
Only the Starlight gods can tell. Pleaseโฆbring my Firefly home.
~In Stars We Trust~
Tainted Rose is Book Two in the new, paranormal reverse harem series.
Recommended for 18+ audience, containing mature sexual content and strong language.

EXCERPT:
โMako? Are you sleep walking again?โ Ryderโs voice made me relax as I rubbed at my eyes.
โRyder, why did you guys put a wall in the middle of the hall? Itโs blocking me from food.โ I whined.
โThereโs our Firefly.โ Marcus praised, chuckling.
โI canโt believe she actually called Kai a wall.โ Daniel mused, his voice sounded thick with sleep.
โKai?โ I asked, opening my eyes just as the apparent wall, turned around, brilliant amber eyes locking on me. I gawked at the sight; my heart raced at the new shifter before me.
He was six feet for sure, maybe only an inch away from Marcusโ height. His wind-blown, coiffed hair was a stunning orange. Holy Starlight, a GINGER!! Like those hot guys in the fashion magazines.
He smiled, his perfectly straight, white teeth making an appearance, only adding to his forbidden sexiness. I wonder if Adam in the bible was this good looking. Maybe thatโs why that Eve shifter went and took that apple.
โPrincess, thatโs not how it went in the bible, but Iโm pleased with your admission of liking my ginger hair.โ He approved; his calm voice enough to soothe any shifter.
