Hi Everyone. Hope you are all doing well. It has been a quiet week, with Mr Wonderful working the Pensacola Blue Wahoos home stand. We went out for free Frickles at Hooters, but they had so few workers that even though they were pretty empty, there was a fifteen minute wait time. Fuck that. Too bad. I love the view on the patio. Sooo, we hopped on over to Red Fish Blue Fish. A different view in the same vicinity. Had a couple of cocktails. There wasn’t a lot of customers, but the waitress forgot about us, sooooo, we stopped at Skye Pizza on the way home. Eric got a meatza pizza and I got a calzone. Another bomb for me. I love their calzones, but mine was burnt. I don’t go out much and even though I had three bad experiences in one day, I still enjoyed my time at the beach and being out and about.
You can see more of Mr Wonderful’s YouTube videos on Fundimonium.
Watching the PGA Championship. Mr Wonderful and I used to live in Pittsford/Rochester, New York and worked the Championship one year. We got out early for practice in the 85th PGA Championship. Didn’t get many autographs. The players were pretty focused. We saw Freddie Couples and hung out, hoping to get an autograph, but security shooed us away. THEN, I got my sights set on Tiger Woods. I love the pics I got of him and the foggy course.
We have our next appointment for the Covid booster scheduled for Monday. Two of our friends are out of town. Her mother is in hospice…and they both came down with Covid. He’s having a rougher time of it than his wife. Best it happened now, than in the beginning. We are all older and have some kind of health issue that puts us at risk.
Stay safe.

LATEST HAPPENINGS
Hello. Welcome to another edition of Sherry’s Shelves. Well…Mardi Gras is over. Some of the family from Connecticut came down for Spring Break. I was happy Mardi Gras was still going on and we made it to New Orleans for a day of parades. We got pelted with beads…and if you know Mardi Gras…there are never enough beads. The weather started out a bit rainy but mild. Unfortunately, it changed to freezing colod for a couple of nights, but came back mild for their last day…at Pensacola Beach. I hope they enjoyed their time here as much as we enjoyed having the.
We have chosen our spot, scored some loot and are waiting for the next parade to arrive.
My sister in law and niece, Sharon and Shelby look like they are having a great time. Have to remember to duck when those bags of beads are flying.
Here’s just some of the treasure we scored!
We had lunch at Peg Leg Pete’s on Pensacola Beach.
And we always take our visitors to meet the resident aliens.
Sooo, do you have any plans for this weekend?

What a fun week and interesting week. Did everyone see the solar eclipse?
Sunday we went scouting for a good location, and when I saw how this photo turned out it made me think the aliens are coming. Is that a death ray trying to take out the Pensacola, Florida beach ball?
Unfortunately, I waited too long to try and get a special lens cover, but we managed to get some good shots anyway.
We didn’t have a full eclipse, only 81%, but it was spooky cool, especially because the clouds kept passing over it adding an extra layer of spooktacularness.
At one point, we jumped into the car, chasing that patch of blue sky over there…
AWESOME!

What are you doing for fun this weekend?

Every year we head to the beach scouting for our Christmas card photograph.
Our white stuff is beautiful, powdery and soft, but I don’t have to shovel.
Warm wishes for the holiday season!
Last weekend my in-laws came to visit and we did the beach tour.

Thanks for visiting fundinmental!
Living life 110% is our motto.
I invite you to come along on my adventures and I would love to hear about yours.
The weekend was chockful of wonderful things to do, but it wasn’t hard for us to choose what events we wanted to attend. The beach is one of our favorite places to go. People watching is a fun past-time and there are always some interesting characters wandering around. But this weekend had some added bonuses, like the Corvette Car Show and A Taste of Pensacola with Andrew Zimmer.
I jumped at the chance to see all these speed machines at the Corvette show. I am a lover of muscle cars and it seemed like every Corvette – from vintage to current – was in attendance. The roar of the engines vibrated through the air, making me want to jump in one and go for a joy ride.
A Taste of Pensacola with Andrew Zimmer took place at the Pensacola Beach pavilion. I waited for him to wade into the Gulf and come out with some kind of freaky food, but he stayed with a traditional Gulf staple – Shrimp.
Andrew Zimmer did some stirring and a little sampling along the way. We visited the Hooter girls and had a couple of Bloody Marys to quench our thirst.
Just look at those beautiful shrimps. Makes your mouth water, doesn’t it?
The presentation was appetizing and corn bread is a southern mainstay not to be missed. Andrew Zimmer was very entertaining and hospitable, taking time for a meet and greet after the show.
On to Captain Fun’s for the Alabama football game. Captain Fun’s is the place to go on the Boardwalk to get your football fix with some diehard Crimson Tide fans. Alabama did not let us down. The game was a roller coaster ride of emotions, keeping us watching until the final whistle was blown.
Number 1 Alabama still rules and The Tide beat Texas A & M – 49 to 42.
We topped off the day with the The Romantics Concert at the Blues Angel Music School, celebrating 130 years of Gretsch guitars.
What did you do this weekend?
