Hi Everyone. We have a lot of butterflies flitting around and some Mississippi Kite’s laying claim to our backyard. They put on quite a show while Mr Wonderful and I paddle around the pool. I am loving these hot summer days.

Hi Everyone. I had a craving this week, so, even though fried foods are not the best for me, I had to have frickles (fried pickles), mozzarella sticks, and chicken fingers. MMMMMMMMM We also swung by Florabama and visited some friends that were in the area.

Hi Everyone. I’ve been pretty laid back this week. Missed some days of rehab, but sometimes my heart isn’t in it. Mr Wonderful had a procedure and we spent six hours at the hospital. Great news. Even though his stress test had some anomalies, everything checked out great. He has good veins and no blockages. I have a stress test coming up this week. Sometimes it seems to take forever to get prior authorization. I think my rapid heart beats when exerting myself makes the doctor want to make sure my heart wasn’t damaged during my long hospital stay. I’m hoping it’s only because I was bedridden for so long. Hope you have a good week and some good books to help you pass the time. Any recommendations?

Hi Everyone. Well, don’t have to wish for rain today. Don’t have to add water to the pool, either. We are having a thunderstorm blowing through today. Hi Everyone. It has been a quiet week. I did a lot of reading. I love when I am current with reviews. I used to be so far behind, but most of the time, I write the review as soon as I have finished the book. I rarely take notes any more, unless it’s a physical copy. I use the highlight feature in my ereader. I have some arthritis in my hand and half the time I can’t read my own writing. What have you been up to? Read any good books this week?

Hi Everyone. Mr Wonderful has done such a fabulous job on keeping the pool sparkly clean. Last Sunday was my first time in the pool this year. I hesitated because of my surgery. I had a perforated colon and have an ostomy bag. I plan on having it reversed once I regain my strength and make sure I am in good health…probably October or thereabouts.

Sherry’s Shelves 5.26 – 6.1.24 #weeklyupdate

Hi Everyone. Hope you all had a good week and are looking forward to next week. I am feeling pretty good. Rehab is going so well, I have been discharged from both Occupational and Physical Therapy. It’s great that they came to the house, instead of me having to go to them. That would have been a super hassle. I will continue to do all the exercises and walking that I was doing when they came, but this time it will be up to me…and Eric. I am still having the nurse come once a week. Have you ever tried to gain weight? I have put on four pounds in the last month, but that is not enough. I had lost over twenty pounds and was on a liquid diet for so long, my tummy doesn’t have enough room for a normal amount of food. I eat six small meals and snacks a day, and drink two to three protein drinks. Dehydration is always an issue because I get so caught up in a book or blogging, I forget to get my sixty four ounces of liquid each day. If I drink at the the wrong time, then I’m not hungry.

Well, enough about me. What have you been up to? Any plans for something special this coming week? Read any good books? Thanks for dropping in. It is always nice to hear from you. 🙂

Hi Everyone. We’ve has some pretty wicked storms coming through the Florida Panhandle. How has your weather been? It sure does make everything sprout and I do love that. I haven’t given the pool a try…yet, but I see it coming. I want to feel the sun on my skin and smell the chlorine. LOL Says summer to me. Have a super week.

Hi Everyone and Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms out there. It’s a beautiful day. I am back from taking two and half months off of blogging. I didn’t even pick up a book to read for 70 days. I went into the Emergency Room in early February and didn’t get out until the 16th of April. It was days of Hell. At times I was wondering if I was going to make it. One step forward and three steps back totally wore me out. I lost weight and am having trouble putting it back on. I may go in depth and share some pics later, but for now….
