Sunday Post

Hi Everyone. Drat. I keep meaning to make my own banner and forget until I am making the post. Oh well…maybe next week. Not a lot going on. Some warmer weather moved in, but I didn’t make it outside…rain and wind, so I have been reading and blogging.

Stay safe and wear a mask..

Sunday Post

Hi Everyone. I wanted to share the release of Lizzie Borden, Zombie Hunter, in audio. I loved it. You can read my review HERE.

Celebrate the new audiobook (pre-order now, releases 2/21)  for Lizzie Borden, Zombie Hunter! Follow along on the blog tour for a chance to win a $10 gift card and the Kindle ebook is also on sale for $1.99!

Have been messing around outside as much as the weather allows. I am determined to have the yard in pretty good shape this month or early in March. I want to get a jump on it, because it was so hot out last year, I couldn’t work outside much, but I could hang around the pool, which I DID have cleaned up. I am getting ready to make sure all the chemicals are in order, so I am trying to keep it leaf free. The oak leaves are pretty heavy because of the high winds. I haven’t had to run it a lot because of the cool weather, but with March right around the corner, I need to get it swimalicious! It’s starting to warm up. I can put my hand in the skimmer to retrieve the leaf basket and not feel like my hand is on fire. LOL I believe I have become a weather wimp down here. 🙂

Sherry’s Shelves – 2.6 – 2.12.22 #stackingtheshelves #thesundaypost #thesundaysalon

Sunday Post

Hi All. I have made some changes to the blog and still want to make my own banner for Sherry’s Shelves. I have added some of my own pics to the header and updated some other stuff. I am staying current on writing reviews, pretty much writing them as soon as I finish reading the book. I am going to try and review everything I read, but I’m not sure how that will work out. I have some reviews sitting, waiting, because I think we will be making our trip north this year and blogging will be hit and miss. I have wanted to go to Michigan for two years and put it off because of Covid. This year we plan on ‘business as usual’ with safety in mind. It makes me a bit anxious, but I am not a spring chicken, so I am ready to GO.

Our Azaleas are blooming like crazy.

The International Space Station flew over the house on 2.6.22. How cool is that?

Sunday Post

Hi Everyone. Hope you are all well and having a good week. I spent a few days moving a bunch of books. I took my signed blogging books and moved them into the office and took that bookcase and put in the kitchen to use for a charging station, etc. I took my unsigned blogging books and moved them into the guest bedroom and moved that bookcase against the wall in the living room. Then I took my bought signed books and put them in another bookcase in the office. Then, I left a mess. I have to think about what comes next because we have so much stuff…that neither I nor Mr Wonderful want to get rid off. If I don’t share photos this week, I’ll take some for next week.

May be an image of 1 person and outdoors

I am now watching the Senior Bowl that is taking place in Mobile, Alabama. We used to go to it every year, but since Covid…nope. Mr Wonderful has went to a practice and got some great shots.

No photo description available.

Well, gotta run. Things to do………

Sunday Post

Hi Everyone. The weather this week is the coldest we have had this winter. I do not miss what others are going through, shoveling snow, scraping windshields, and wearing all those clothes. I am originally from Michigan and lived in New York for ten years, so I know what it is like. That is why I wanted to move away from it. LOL

Mr Wonderful and I shoveling snow in Rochester, New York

I think the birds are confused with our warm weather. I went out to mess with the pool and scared a yard full of robins up into the trees. I managed to get one good photo through the window, before we tried to go out, quietly sit on the patio and wait for them to come down from the trees. No such luck. They were very skittish.

Sunday Post

Hi Everyone. Hope you had a great week and are looking forward to what comes next. We have had some cold and some okay weather the past week.

We had some friends of ours drop by and had dinner on the patio. Happy to report the weather cooperated and I was only a little chilly. LOL

Most of the time I have a book in my hand, but the past couple of days I have tried to put them down more often and catch up on reviews. I don’t review a lot of the books I read, because then I wouldn’t be able to read as many. LOL I want to start reviewing more of them, so that means keeping up on R2R books. That’s hard when some of my favorite authors hand me two, three, or four books of theirs at a time. How can they manage to write faster than I can read. LOL I know some of them are from their back books, but eventually I will have caught up and be in the present…or future. I don’t review anything that doesn’t appear on my blog first, but I do rate them on Goodreads.

How about you? Do you review everything you read?

Sunday Post

Hi Everyone. Hope everyone’s new year is off to a good start.

Well, it was a week…I didn’t get much reading done. I was reading Professor Charlatan’s Anthology in paperback and it took me a long time, along with Shade and the Pureblood Faeries, which was a long book too. Still dismantling Christmas, but I have not been in a hurry. Just gotta finish up the tree and the garland over the mantle. It looks so naked without all my beautiful lights. The weather has been chilly with sun and a warm day or two here and there. The pool is looking good…and all I have done is look at it. Mr Wonderful sucked a bunch of leaves out. We had some wind go through and all I can say is…knock those leaves off and be done with it, instead of shedding just enough to overwhelm the robot. lol

HAPPY NEW YEAR

May be an image of 2 people, people standing, fireworks and text

Well, 2021 was not the happiest of years and I don’t know if 2022 is going to be any better, so I plan on enjoying whatever is available to me each and every day. I am not gong to harp on the negative, instead, let’s talk about our weather here in the Florida Panhandle. It got up to 80 this past week with lots of sunshine. My mother in law was here for Christmas and because of the fabulous weather we went to a restaurant on the beach and it was fantastic. Only the second time I ate out in two years. We had a great visit and I was so happy Mr Wonderful went to get her. Alabama won their game, but my Michigan Wolverines fell flat. That’s okay. We cracked the Ohio Buckeyes and won the Bit Ten Title and we had been a 100 to 1 bet in Vegas at the beginning of the year. So….don’t ever count us out. Georgia was everything I was afraid they would be and I will be rooting against them again when they play Alabama.

I hope the new year is all you wish for….

Sunday Post

Hi Everyone. Hope you had a good week and are enjoying the holiday season. We have decorated and you may have seen some photographs and videos on Facebook. Mr Wonderful loves making the videos and I will be sharing some of them next week. This week, I have been finishing the decorating, cleaning the house and the pool, writing reviews that I wanted done before the year ends, and reading. I have been binging on Willow Rose for a couple of weeks now, because I have so many of her books that I picked up for free through her newsletter. I am going to put them aside…soon…and finish up with review books that are still waiting to be read.

Mr Wonderful’s mother is coming down for a few days for Christmas. I am looking forward to a day at the beach and I am going to suck it up and go out for a meal or two while she is here. I have only eaten out once since Covid started and that was to Hooters on the beach. We sat outside and I had wings and a beer. It just so happened it was my birthday and I got the wings for free. We are having great weather, so I think we will be able to find somewhere to eat outside…if not, that will be okay too.

I am getting excited about the College Bowl games. #1 Alabama is playing #4 Cincinnati. I am very curious to see how Cincy will do. I think Bama will win easily, though ya never know. ROLL TIDE #2 Michigan is playing #3 Georgia. I have my fingers crossed for MIchigan, which I feel should have been rated #1 and playing Cincy. I hope the guys can stay focused and not get lost in all the hoopla and the fact that they are in Orlando. GO BLUE

n case we don’t chat before…have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I am looking forward to moving on…

Stay safe and wear a mask.
