Rock A Bye Baby by Willow Rose will tug at your heartstrings. It took me a moment to catch what was really happening, and I felt for her. Things are not what they seem…or are they. A lot is packed in this novella and Willow Rose did not let me down. 4 Stars

Lisa Rasmussen just had a baby and everything in her life seems perfect at this point. Only she wishes that everyone else around her would be as flawless as she is and stop getting in her way. And if they won’t listen, then she’ll make them.
You can see my review for Nibble Nibble Crunch HERE. I didn’t review Eenie Meenie but rated it a four, the same as Nibble Nibble Crunch.
Another success story for Willow Rose. Humpty Dumpty may be short, may not be sweet, but it sure had my blood pumping. Graphic and brutal, Karma comes to those who did wrong. 4 Stars
GOODREADS BLURB
They thought it would be easy. Four boys from a nearby boarding school planned on attacking and killing a family – just for the fun of it. But they hadn’t prepared themselves for the terror of what they would meet inside of the house in shape of a little girl with a very special gift.
I have been lovin’ the Harry Hunter character and I am happy to be back for another mystery. We start out with a bang…in church!
Harry Hunter has a full plate. His teenage daughter is a handful, his wife has miraculously awakened from a long term coma, and his love interest, his next door neighbor, Jean, is stepping aside to give Harry and his wife a chance to find the love they lost.
Camille, his wife, has a story to tell, but the question remains, will she recover enough to be able to tell it. AND will it make a difference to their lost relationship.
His dad is a rock, and his faith in God never wavers and helps him deal with his turbulent life. His religion is a part of his character and does not come across as any way preachy.
Human traffickers, corrupt cops, Harry has put himself and his family in the line of fire by vowing to take them all down.
Willow had me hemming and hawing at the head honcho. It’s impossible to tell who is good and who is bad, and I love that about her writing.
As the lines converge and the fireworks explode, we come to a riveting conclusion with danger, chases, and all out war raining down on Harry and his family.
While I was reading, No Other Way, I kept thinking of Serpico. Would Willow allow Harry to die? I love that she has me even considering it.
Willow includes snapshots of real life events and the depravity and despicability of humans is exposed for the world to see.

Shocking evidence hits close to home for Miami PD’s Detective Harry Hunter as Willow Rose’s bestselling series continues.
Three women went on a road trip to Key West. Only two returned. When asked what happened, their stories don’t completely match.
Who is telling the truth?
What are they hiding?
Detective Harry Hunter of the Miami PD is in church on a peaceful Sunday morning when a young teenager pulls out a gun and shoots his own father.
Once the shock is gone, Harry starts to ask himself the question no one else seems to care about: What makes a young boy want to kill his own father?
When more blood is shed, Harry suspects there’s a secret buried in this town that no one wants unearthed. What are the people around him not telling him?
NO OTHER WAY is the third book in the bestselling Harry Hunter Mystery Series.
This novel is the first book in Willow Rose’s electrifying new Harry Hunter series.
Detective Harry Hunter of Miami PD’s homicide squad throws himself into a case no one asked him to solve.
Four teenagers from one of Miami’s affluent neighborhoods are murdered on a boat. Another is found in a dumpster. All five of them go to the same school and are on a list of witnesses to another crime.
Because he’s in bad standing with his boss, Harry is given the task of protecting a possible future victim, but Harry isn’t always known to follow his boss’s orders.
Soon, he’ll risk everything while racing to stop a killer who has left everyone else in the homicide squad shaking in terror.
ALL THE GOOD GIRLS is the first book in the Harry Hunter Mystery Series and can be read as a standalone.

Willow lives on Florida’s Space Coast with her husband and two daughters. When she is not writing or reading, you will find her surfing and watch the dolphins play in the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
Emilia and her mother are homeless, living in their car. She is
awoken one night and the unthinkable happened. This took place in the
first three chapters and it read like a prologue. I love prologues,
because they hook me from the beginning and i eagerly read on to find
out what lead up to the event and what happens after.
I am back with some familiar characters, so when Josie was rushed to
the hospital, I thought, what could happen to them now. It seems bad
luck dogs Harry and his daughter, Josie.
Because Run Girl Run by Willow Rose is Book II in the Harry Hunter
series, I don’t want to spoil anything for those who start at the
beginning, with Book I, All The Good Girls. I will skip over Camille,
his comatose wife, and Jean, his wife’s best friend and love interest,
and let you find out about them for yourself.
The situation presents some real life questions. Do you believe in
miracles? When is enough enough and you move on with your life? How do
you get past the guilt of giving up on someone you love?
Because of her ‘illness’, Josie leaves the hospital with more than
she had when she entered. It puts her in great danger. And this poses
some real life question too.
With Willow Rose, I am always waiting for that other shoe to drop.
Her mysteries are complicated. She makes me wonder how all the
characters will come together and what the outcome will be. She takes
her characters to the extreme and back again and I am just along for the
ride.
Uh oh, I’m thinking something bad about someone close to Harry. Could it be….Nope. How about…hmm…Alright, I was wrong again, sort of…I love how Willow Rose leads me down false paths, constantly questioning myself as I struggle to expose the bad guy. And we do have plenty of bad guys.
As Harry investigates, danger comes knocking. Of course, he makes it out alive, seeing there will be one more book, and I heave a sigh of relief, for now. The danger isn’t over yet!

Willow Rose’s beloved detective, Harry Hunter is back in this thrilling second installment of the bestselling series.
When a mother and her child are pulled out of the harbor in their car, the case seems pretty straightforward for Miami PD and Detective Harry Hunter.
Everything points to a murder-suicide.
They were homeless, living in their car, and the mother decided to end it all for them both by driving into the water.
But the case is not what it looks like, Detective Harry Hunter soon realizes.
Harry’s daughter is carrying devastating knowledge about their deaths, and soon she becomes the killer’s next target.
As Harry races to protect her, he is betrayed by someone he thought he knew, leaving him terrified of trusting anyone in a town filled with liars.

It’s wonderful to be back with another Willow Rose mystery. I devour her books.
Harry is on the hunt…for drug dealers. He had been removed from the narcotics police squad because he was always beating them up and getting beaten in the process. His wife was a vegetable after a drug overdose, so that explains his motivation. He takes care of her with the help of his neighbor and his wife’s best friend, Jean. He is always in trouble at work, being late and disobeying orders.
After the fifth death of a group of students, he is assigned to protect a possible future victim. The more he learns about him, the less he cares about him. I love to hate villains, but there is so much more to the guy than I anticipated. He is arrogant, a bully…reveling in the torture he heaps on his victims. Is he a sociopath? A psychopath? Does it matter? Evil is evil.
But, is he the killer? We have plenty of suspects. I kept bouncing back and forth, trying to figure it out for myself, but Willow Rose doesn’t make it easy. Some seem too obvious, and knowing Willow, I am sure she is going to twist and turn me round and round until the end.
The turn Willow took with this mystery was a surprise, and I love book surprises. Secrets don’t stay secret. And they can be used against you. In this instance, it is taken to such an extreme no one is safe from his manipulation. How far would you go to keep a devastating, life destroying secret? How far would someone else go to use it against you?
All The Good Girls by Willow Rose is one wild rollercoaster ride. She has an ability to surprise me with the unexpected.
All The Good Girls, and the future Harry Hunter novels, are shorter stories, with a pace so fast it’s hard to keep up and the suspects so numerous I couldn’t put it together. Love it!

OOOO Savage must be my first freebie from Willow Rose and it has been sitting on my Kindle for a very long time. I downloaded this from Amazon on 9.24.12.
Books from the Backlog is a fun way to feature some of those
neglected books sitting on your bookshelf unread. If you are anything
like me, you might be surprised by some of the unread books hiding in
your stacks.
The year is 1983.
Christian is 22 years old when he leaves his home in Denmark to spend a
year in Florida with a very wealthy family and go to med-school. A
joyful night out with friends is shattered by an encounter with a savage
predator that changes his life forever. Soon he faces challenges he had
never expected. A supernatural gift he has no idea how to embrace. A
haunting family in the house next door. A spirit-filled girl who seems
to carry all the answers. An ancient secret hidden in the swamps of
Florida. One life never the same. One love that becomes an obsession.
Two destinies that will be forever entangled.
Savage is a
paranormal romance with some language, violence, and sexual situations
recommended for ages sixteen and up. The sequel is Broken.
I am super excited to find this sitting on my Kindle, since 9.24.12. Apparently I didn’t realize how fantastic an author Willow Rose was at that time. I sure do now and grab everything I can when I see her name. I can hardly wait to get to the swamps of Florida to see what’s what. I added it to my TBR 8.22.12.
I’m writing this on the fly, because I am out of town, but I don’t want you to think that Willow Rose has not done her job in this series. I love Eva Rae and it is a good thing that Matt is a very patient man. Not weak, just believing in Eva and her deepest need – to save people. She’s not arrogant. She’s not looking for attention. She quietly goes about the business at hand, saving innocents.
Let Me Go, for me, feels different from a lot of her stories. It is not your typical serial killer visiting havoc on others.
The climate of fear and the expectation of violence accelerates the serious risk of overreaction and excessive use of force.
I can understand that quote. I can empathize with law enforcement, but when an innocent is involved, we need to question what’s happening and look for some solutions.
I loved it when seven year old Alex said, ” Matt. We need to talk.” Out of the mouth of babes.
This is a frightening eye opener of the possibilities for mayhem and madness to run riot from a chair at a computer. Swatting. Ever heard of it? I’m not sure I have, but the thought is terrifying. To know by one phone call, a life can be forfeit.
Let Me Go is a truly frightening look at a realistic plan, because of one man’s need for revenge. This may also be a wake up call for parents to keep an eye on what your kids are doing on the computer.

LET ME GO is the fifth book in the Eva Rae Thomas Mystery Series and can be read as a standalone.

Woo Hoo! This is my Y for the Alphabet Soup Reading Challenge and will wrap it up, completed. I had this on my Kindle and have been working my way through a bunch of Willow Rose’s books I received for free. If you join her newsletter, she shares a lot of her books on for free on Amazon. I love her work, so if you are looking for some great mystery/thrill reads, give her a try.
She has some great covers too. This is the Goodreads cover, but right below it is the Amazon cover, which I like even more.
Willow Rose is one of my go to authors. I love her work and am so happy to be with her fabulous characters, waiting to see what badness will befall them. I hope you enjoy the RUN.
We begin all over the place as we learn about the characters, flipping back and forth between them, getting their thoughts and feelings first hand.
I was just strolling along until…the open back door of Kelly’s house.
I say yes to the dark side of an author’s imagination!
Cast of characters:
Marcia: a schizophrenic
Mark: Marcia’s son
Mary: Marcia’s friend, and if I am ever in trouble, I would love to have her by my side
Harry: who is he…really?
Peter: has Cerebral Palsy
Kelly: is someone stalking her?
I purposely left out one character, because I want you to meet him for yourself.
Each chapter is told from a character’s point of view. I do like getting the lowdown straight from the horse’s mouth. I feel I get to know them better.
I do wonder how they all will come together. What do they have in common? I know Willow Rose has something in mind, because she always has a diabolical plot brewing, never giving her characters on easy ride. I’m at 44% and I am finding answers to SOME of my questions.
Willow Rose deals with some sensitive issues in a positive, yet at times, cruel way, which comes across as reality. The character of Peter Elingston, cerebral palsy, is true. Google it if you want to know more.
I can’t imagine how terrifying it must be, trapped in your own mind. This applies to Marcia and Peter. It may break your heart, but it left me feeling better when all was said and done. No matter how bad things got, Willow Rose ends it on a positive note.

Whoa…Willow Rose sure knows how to grab me by the throat, leaving me gasping, hoping…will they get to her in time?
No one thinks it will happen to them…a school shooting…
Eva had found her long lost sister, and now she has found that she has a long lost brother and her estranged father. And they need her help. She can’t say no.
Her characters are unique, fascinating and complicated.
Willow Rose has so much going on in Say You Love me that my head is spinning. She has an ability to spin a complicated web, making me wonder how it will all come together.
Why…what…who…
The villain is having a great time and sharing it, streaming it live online, the viewers scream for blood. Disgusting, frightening, and it unfolds like a Criminal Minds episode.
Eva Rae also has a full plate when it comes to her personal life. It is complicated, but she brings some of it on herself, unable to make the commitment to her cop boyfriend, Matt. I love him. He has the patience of a saint, but everyone has their breaking point. Her ex wants her back. Sure, they had good times and the kids would love it, but….
I don;t like what happens at 70%, but I’m not telling.
Willow Rose wrote Say You Love Me while hurricane Dorian was threatening the coast. I love that she worked that into the story and created more nail biting and danger. Never too much suspense for me and she gives me a steady supply in all her books.
