Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of booksandabeat.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following: Grab your current read. Open to a random page. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
I know I am late to the party, but better late than never.
MY TEASE
What an odd man, I thought. Who compares another man’s wife to a bath he wants to sink into? Another man’s missing wife?
(page 164 in hardback)
On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy’s diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?

I thought this was a good read. I enjoyed it.
Glad to hear it.
I see you started this one! I know you are going to enjoy it.
My TT from Sister Dear
I couldn’t help but read it now. It is getting very interesting….
I haven’t gotten to the party yet. This one is still on my wishlist. My teaser comes from Whirlpool by Elizabeth Lowell. Happy reading!
I was lucky my sister, Laura, had it and loaned it to me. Lucky me!
I have GOT to read this book! It’s definitely on my TBR list.
My Tuesday post features HANGTOWN CREEK – A Tale of the California Gold Rush.
That’s how I felt and am so lucky my sister had it. 🙂
I felt repulsed by many parts of this book, BUT I couldn’t put it down. It’s an amazing, well-written story, no matter how you feel about the qualities of some of the characters. Can’t wait to read your review, Sherry.
Right now I don’t like either one of them, but I do like flawed, wicked characters. I like to walk a bit on the wild side. LOL
I loved this one and I bet you will too!
Have you watched the movie? 🙂
No, I haven’t seen the movie. I am a TV addict, but don’t do a lot of movies. I am just getting to the point where I wonder who is the worst character and I think this is one movie I would like to see. Was it as good as the book? Books are usually better for me than movies.
Gone Girl was such an epic read. I was turning the pages faster than I ever thought possible. Her other two novels are just as twisted. Perhaps not up to par with Gone Girl, but when you’ve written the best thriller of the decade, it’s hard to beat it. XD
Awesome meme~
Brittany @ Space Between the Spines
WOW! Glad to hear it. Now I want them all. I love this meme too and I am on my way to see what you are sharing. Thanks for dropping in Brittany.
I’ve heard so much about this book/movie! One day I’ll get to it!
So many books and so little time. 🙂
