MY REVIEW
I would like to thank Net Galley and Random House for the opportunity to read another fabulous Janet Evanovich novel, The Job.
I have never been disappointed with Janet Evanovich’s stories before and she did not fail to entertain me again. Her quirky and unique characters, along with the humorous writing, keep me in stitches as we work to solve the mystery. She does a fantastic job as bringing them to life through her words.
Kate believes Nick when he says he didn’t do it. I love them and, even though he is a fantastic specimen with a good boy/bad boy thing going on, she doesn’t jump right into bed with him. I like that there is no instalove, though sometimes I wonder how she resists. lol
Nick is hotter than a stolen Ferrari and just as fast, sleek and dangerous.
I love the lively banter and Janet Evanovich can pull it off extremely well. Her writing style makes the story flow smoothly and the reading easy. I eat up her books like the M&Ms I love so much.
I love the scene where Willie is driving a 797 F heavy equipment dump truck. Totally cracked me up. I couldn’t help but laugh as the words developed into a film unrolling in my mind.
The Job is a fabulous suspense/thriller adventure and I want more of Kate and Nick.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of The Job by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg.

GOODREADS BLURB
Charming con man Nicolas Fox and dedicated FBI agent Kate O’Hare secretly take down world’s most-wanted and untouchable felons, next job Violante, the brutal leader of a global drug-smuggling empire. The FBI doesn’t know what he looks like, where he is, or how to find him, but Nick knows his tastes in gourmet chocolate.
From Nashville to Lisbon back alleys, from Istanbul rooftops to Thames, they chase clues to lookalike thefts. Pitted against a psychopathic bodyguard Reyna holding Kate hostage and a Portuguese enforcer getting advice from an ancestor’s pickled head, they again call driver Willie for ship, actor Boyd for one-eyed Captain Bridger, special effects carpenter Tom, her father Jake – retired Special Forces, and his talent – machete-wielding Somali pirate Billy Dee. This could be their biggest job – if they survive.

I listened to One for the Money and it was a lot of fun. I should definitely try more of her stuff. Great review!
Thanks Lauren. I have been reading her work for a long time and always enjoy the ride.
Loved your comparison of Nick to a muscle car. LOL I used to read her books. Need to get back to them again. Great review, Sherry!
I liked the 2 novels I tried in the series too
I get so involved with the free books and all the Indie authors, I sometimes forget about my old stand bys. Hard to go wrong with Evanovich. 🙂
